IHWA-01 - Iron Heart/Pinion Watch
-
Yes, both are really lovely. But i think black looks more "basic" / understated. Too bad i didnt get the white stitching and nice supple leather in black then my choice would be clear.
-
Ok, the watch was not the main focus here.
-
So i got me a black watch strap and Piers was kind enough to send me some extras that I really like as well. I think I'll use the cotton and rubber ones on holidays. Just need to figure out how to apply the cotton one.
-
The brown recalls a flieger to me but the black matches the dial and your J-100, so it gets my vote.

@Max:
Just need to figure out how to apply the cotton one.
Totally easy- pop the spring bars out, take the current strap off, then put the spring bars back in the watch case. Then all you need to do is thread the canvas strap through the gap between the bars and the case, kinda like a belt through belt loops.
I love NATO straps because they're so easy to swap. Plus I sweat a lot, so if they start to smell, I can just chuck it in the laundry and it's like new again.

Thanks @Chris
Decided to go with black leather:
-
Damn that is clean af @Max Power
-
Thanks mate!
-
Decided to give the cotton strap a try and i love it
-
@Max Power beautiful watch but a word of advice, DON'T put mechanical watches anywhere near magnets!!! (Including speakers). Can do serious damage. Hopefully one or both are screened.
-
Thanks for the advice matr, wasnt aware of that
-
@Max Power I have that same Marshall Acton speaker. I have really been enjoying it as it sounds great.
I have one of these fabulous watches in transit that I found on the used market. Im really looking forward to it. My first watch that aint a cheap one. In fact I havent worn a watch for years and years.
Yours looks awesome. I may need to find a vid on how to change the strap as I may want to change it out from time to time. I recall trying to change a strap on an old Timex without the special tool and getting frustrated. I didnt even know there was such a tool at the time.
-
@daltmeyer thanks man. I enjoy both watch and speakers a lot!
I've changed the strap 5 times already. Its realky not that hard and i am clumsy as can be. I think there are plenty of good vids out that can help you.
Right now I'm wearing the olive pinion nato strap.
-
That looks excellent @Max Power. Heck I may be buying extra straps before I even receive the watch. Haha. Must resist.
-
I'm not going to talk you out of it @daltmeyer
-
Special delivery today! This is number 31 or 32. Not part of the official 30 watches released by IH.
From what I understand Pinion had 1 or 2 dials left but no back plates. This is one of them. I am happy to have it!
