The 888 Fatboy Chocolate World Tour

The cut really suits you @sabergirl

Gracias, @Megatron1505. I really want to get a pair of my own in this cut. I'm hoping for a regular XHS to drop sometime in the future.

All of a sudden it’s fall! I’ve been trying to enjoy the outdoors while it’s still bearable, walking in the hood, or out in the woods when there’s time.
Oh, and there was Halloween. I sat out on the stoop to give out candy in a onesie—which qualifies as the laziest costume, ever.

Fall in the Appalachians is tough to beat.

First off, I want to apologize for the late start of my leg of the tour. I've been either traveling or at work for all but 3-4 days over the last 6 weeks. Anyway, I arrived home last night around midnight from 2 weeks offshore and got the chance to open up the beauties. Thanks so much to @sabergirl for the amazing looking denim and the chocolates! It's been a while since I've worn some 21 oz goodness and these are already incredibly soft and comfy. My 633-18's are going to get a break for the next month while I try my best to put a hurting on this beautiful pair!

^^ Great pictures Clint. That ramen looks delicious

Not the most eventful day but I did get a nice surprise from IHUK!
Started the day off doing some yard work. It’s been neglected for the past 6 weeks and having numerous old pecan trees doesn’t help as they drop a shocking amount of leaf litter and pecans. I’ll have to upload after pics tomorrow because I ran out of daylight.
I ate a pretty damn good leftover lunch:
This beauty showed up today. Thanks to the IHUK crew for the lightning fast shipping!
Finished off the night with some bun from a neighborhood Vietnamese trailer and washed it down with some 25 year old rum from our Costa Rica trip last month.

So, it's been a pretty busy week for me so here's a quick update:
Most mornings start like this:
Stella won't do her business in the yard so she gets 3-4 walks daily:
This is down the street from our house, we're about a 10 minute walk from downtown Austin:
We had a little scare last Sunday, Stella was acting funny and somehow she had a damaged cornea so she had to wear the cone of shame for a while to prevent her from pawing her eye. She was not happy:
We've been trying to cook at home more often so my wife and I have made some pretty tasty meals at home:
We had our close friends over last night for some curry noodles, smoked chicken wings and piri piri beef:
Went out for Ramen again the other night and I rocked out my classic IHSH-12 with the 888's:
I had a few meetings about our pending addition and drilled a core sample to determine the slab thickness which was fortunately 4" thick:
My wife and I had the opportunity to see Gary Clark Jr at the Moody Theater downtown. He put on a hell of a show for the hometown crowd! He brought up a few guest musicians including Steve Ray Vaughan's brother, Jimmie Vaughan.
-
@Clint_D I also spy Eric Tessmer on stage there with Gary Clark Jr. - I caught Eric live once in Friends Bar in Austin, amazing & unforgettable gig!
-
Wow. Great update @Clint_D Stevie Ray Vaughn….my heart still aches at the loss. I can’t help but think of what he would have accomplished musically.

Sorry, I'm a bit behind here. Weekend before last, we went to an Island Christmas party put on by Austin Humane:
My sister and her husband, Billy, adopted Benny:
On Monday, I had to head back to work. Had to give this little one some belly rubs before I left:
I had to drive from Austin to Houma, LA:
I flew out on a Sikorsky S-92 from Houma to the drilling rig I work on, the West Capricorn:
Here's a quick youtube video that has some pretty cool shots from around the rig:
I wish I could take some interesting pics of video but we're in a maintenance period right now. I was hoping to have some cool fishing pictures as well but I haven't had any action since I arrived. I did catch this decent yellowfin last time I was at work though. It was roughly 70 lbs or so:
On the plus side, we've had some some good sunrises and sunsets. This was from yesterday's sunrise:
Neighboring rigs:
