    Untucked. Ventile, quilt lined body, lined but uninsulated arms. I’m seriously just throwing out ideas for another Untucked CPO until one sticks. I figure by F/W ‘19 I can buy another safely.

      @gaseousclay:

      @gaseousclay:

      Would whipcord even work as an M65 or would that be an anachronism?

      No more so than a woolen or denim M65.

      It hasn’t been done. I’m not sure how it would turn out.

      Curious if whipcord would restrict movement…

      @UnTucked:

      An N1 inspired M-65.

      Whipcord outer, windproof liner, and alpaca interior

      If you’re talking about it built as described here, like the N1’s, then they are autumn/winter jackets and are heavy and thick as they should be, but still very wearable. The IHW-13’s are heavier and thicker than N1’s but also still very comfortable (and so stylish [emoji1]).

      If you’re talking about a simpler spring jacket, well, IH make type III’s and workpants out of whipcord with no problem, and they are both very popular, so practically I see no issue.

        A slightly more "technical" version of IHV-32. Nylon, Cordura, or even eVent face fabric (maybe blue or black, forest green, whatever), paraffin-coated duck yoke (Cordura could also work), PrimaLoft Gold lining.

        Think it, be it.

          ^ That would be great. My IHV-24 is a tremendously versatile bit of kit either for layering under jackets in winter or as a lightweight but insulating outer layer in spring/summer. A beefed up version would be lovely.

            Not sure this is possible,but my idea would be to overdye a bunch of the copper snaps,which turns them into a silvery color. They could be used as a very cool snap upgrade. I'm thinking the upcoming Johnny Cash shirt. You would have to put them into some kind of net bag,so you didn't have to fish them out.

              I know I suggested something like this before but I'd love an alpaca lined type iii with a furry collar. I've basically done something similar with the IHV-31-BLK and my IH-526Lod (two of my favorite IH pieces). Bad picture below which doesn't really do the combination justice, but enough to give you an idea of what it might look like.

                  Yep. Great idea! SBG, long and Alapaca?

                    For some reason I get an H&M/fast fashion vibe out of that jacket….but might just be me. A black on black version might be cool

                      IH has already done a Sherpa type III if I’m not mistaken. Alpaca lined would be cool but expensive as hell and likely hard to clean

                        true. Maybe it's the size of the collar from that angle that's throwing me off. But sherpa looks more classic (I guess because it is).

                          I like the idea of an sbg alpaca type III.  The pic gives enough of a sense.  I don’t know anything about H&M because I have never set foot inside one, but that looks cozy.

                            I don't like SBG, but an alpaca lined type III would be dope.

                              The collar is usually up on the vest, I don't have it down for a number of reasons (space, sizing, freezing temperatures that require the vest etc). That said all type iiis look like 'fast fashion' I think due to how ubiquitous they are. Nothing wrong with that though, we're all just here buying fashion items after all.

                              Just to be clear I wasn't trying to say IH should make that exact same setup, just something along those lines. The sherpa was definitely along the lines of what I meant. I would snap a IH-533 up in a second. I do think that the cord collar probably did it disservice because it doesn't really look like it would be warm or lined. The lining going onto the collar gives the whole thing a 'looks like I could wear that when it's cold' feel.

                                Dark chocolate brown duck cpo.  Got the idea when I soaked my 211–takes on a deep dark brown when saturated.

                                Could go black/brown cord collar or pure duck.
                                Could also line the the collar and cuffs with the as is brown duck for some tonal pop.

                                  I still like the idea of an double indigo duck cpo, no yokes and a khaki cord collar [emoji869]

                                      Developing a chocolate brown denim would be nice. Then you can decline it in a wide range of products. I'd love denim in other color ays than indigo or black (incl. gray), personally - rust, burgundy, green would be nice too.

                                          I have the 634-grey,that I absolutely love,but I don’t think they sold all that well. At the time I was hoping for a shirt,jacket or any other item made from that material,but it,obviously,never happened.  https://s3-eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/ihf-images/11903/3602/a7b7eac8-377c-4081-84fd-9f5950c2c703.jpeg      Should be a link to a pic of me wearing my 634 grey.
