Enjoying a Bells Expedition Stout

Took a trip to Scratch Brewing today. Literally in the middle of nowhere in Southern Illinois, down a one-lane gravel road in the middle of the woods. Worth the trip.

Peanut Butter Stout. Good beer . Not overly sweet like a lot of adjunct stouts.

also @xtcclassic I'm glad you got to go to Scratch and enjoyed it.  They are great people and are doing something really special out there…

Did a collab beer/cider blend with them a few years ago and it was an absolute blast...

If you'd try and pull this shit off in Belgium, you'd be laughed at, shunned, and be called a stuck up git…

They'll probably catch a lot of flack about it here, too.  But realistically, the beer is worth what people are willing to pay.  I'm guessing they're familiar enough with their buyers that they know this will sell.  So good for them that they're getting paid rather than aftermarket resellers.

That said, I know my limits, and this is well past them…

Way past what I would spend on a beer. When it was first released it was around 15$ a bottle.
What's even crazier is that it will sell for a lot more on the secondary market.
