I'm tired of 80F in October.
Ditto & rain.
and the effin rain. Rainfall total so far this year is 47.5 inches. That's almost 6 inches over the average annual total of 42 inches -with almost 3 months to go. wtf. ::)

After weeks of thinking I'm delusional and "hearing things", I get to work this morning to see I have an office mouse.
No big deal, as far as I'm concerned, but the little bastard ate my stroopwafels!!!!! Don't think I will declare war though… I'll just starve him out, let him go bother someone else. Which, incidentally, is how I inherited him...
Of course, since I know there is a mouse now, I'm doing some 'spring cleaning'. After wiping down my desks and workbench, I decided to do some vacuuming, and coming back to my office I told one of the Air Force guys who's office isn't far from mine that I have a mouse... His response? "Ha! He's YOUR problem now!!! He's been eating my protein powder and pre-workout, and skirting my traps for about a month, lol!"...
Apparently, I'm dealing with more of a gym rat…. LOL!

Sounds like a rat.

Great franchise, Alien. Not only is the concept of a hostile alien bioweapon monster thought-provoking, terrifying, and plausible (at least in general concept), they get HR Giger involved to create the most iconic, nightmarish fiends in cinema history. Weaver's Ripley is a great character and everything else about at least the first couple films is so well done.

Don’t forget the relatively novel concept of males being suddenly subject to a rape pregnancy. One that also kills you. Horrible stuff.
Watched a doc on Giger, very fascinating person.

I have mixed feelings on the prequels. Visually, Prometheus and Covenant look great, but the story and character development were really poor. No memorable crew members and the reveal about the origin of the Xeno's kinda pissed me off. So we're to infer that the thousands of eggs on the derelict space craft from the first Alien were created by David (from the couple thousand embryos on the Covenant)? It completely refutes the idea that there was a Queen laying all the eggs. I still would've prefered Neil Blomkamp's Aliens sequel.
This probably belongs in the random rants thread

Prequels ruined the series for me. So lame.

Prometheus was fraught with so many issues it became ridiculous. When they starting running away from (as opposed to out of the way of) the doughnut shaped spaceship that was rolling towards them I half expected the Benny Hill music to strike up.
I actually don’t consider this to be part of the Alien franchise. I think it really belongs to the Rash Decisions in Outer Space trilogy, alongside The Martian (“let’s blow up the front of our spaceship”), and Interstellar (“let’s fly into a black hole, and if things go wrong: eject”). Note that astronauts are chosen, among other things, for their propensity to stay level headed in uncertain situations.
Also: someone examines how the geologist managed to get lost in a very easily navigated room.

I got this shirt when I worked for an AvP website a long time ago. They were for the dev team of the game and for show attendees.
