For fellas my age. It’s a sturdy piece that I enjoy. I like that seiko as well.

      Maybe so. Maybe not

Noob question on the noob watch thread… how off does it look if you put a 20mm strap onto a watch with 21mm lugs? Likewise would a little semi-friendly persuasion (with a small file for example) make a 22mm leather strap work ok on a 21mm lug?

I've got no experience of either, but i'm sure if you could whittle the larger one down to fit, it would look better than the smaller one.

Does the strap your thinking of, not come in the size you need?

The Seiko Prospex Land watch I posted a couple of days ago has 21mm lugs. If I was going to buy it, I’d like a more contrasting strap and a bit of variety and the two that spring to mind are the IH/Pinion cordovan strap in a brown (22mm) and the recently released OGL deadstock military webbing ZULU strap which comes in at 20mm. Bloody typical.

                  I see.

I had a strap made by Richard for my Rolex. He can make any size you like but you would need to source a 21mm buckle or use a stock 22mm.

I think you could trim down the edges of a 22mm strap and make it fit without looking junky.  I think it would definitely look better than the undersized 20mm.

And manufacturers that make odd sized lugs are irritating.  The worst are the ones that do completely unusable ones, so you're forced to stick with the choice they give you.  Oris was one of the worst offenders at this for a long time.

I have one and I timed it monthly throughout 2012. It was -1.2 seconds for the entire year. There subtle fluctuations with summer/winter but the overall accuracy is untouchable.

Actually Casio said in an email to a customer that the entire brand is moving towards Bluetooth sync. Hence, the new Gravitymaster is BT only.

I just got the Mudmaster GWG-100, solar and multi band 6. It's great for running (anything short of that size watch and I can't read it while running, and I have to keep track of the time or I will keep going and miss the beginning of my workday. Digital is unreadable while running for me. The UV backlight is really attractive.

The nice thing about MB6 is I can sync with the clock wave app. So even when I can't get signal I can still manually sync with my phone.

The reason for this is that having finally got together some watch money I found that watch money roughly equates to Good Art pimped shirt money and I’m shite at prioritising [emoji15]

It's a nice watch. The drawbacks are: it's on the chunky side, the straps are held with screw bars, the bezel insert is probably aluminum. On the other hand, the case and bezel are nearly unscratchable & the face is super readable.
