Received refund from Hops Burn & Black seeing as how my package is completely lost, and I told them I ain't drinking 5 week old IPAs that spent two heatwaves in a depot…

I gotta add, though… So they refunded me, and also refunded my REWARDS POINTS... I had used a 50£ discount voucher for the order that went missing... Boom... I can use it again on the next order...

That is fucking next level...

I got one of those in my last order…

It was a chore to drink the entire thing. Definitely tastes like exactly what it says it does... But that heavy flavor, plus the "imperial black IPA" taste, and 11% ABV was far too much for me

It's not bad but it has a light body and at 7% I do tend to prefer other geuzes…

Might give it a try. I drank ridiculously small amounts of gueze this summer as a result of the poor weather so I’m missing it. Also, the monopoly has been out of Tilquin for months [emoji849]

Ha! Nice that Amundsen are breaking through in the UK and working with Verdant. Not my favourite Norwegian brewery but they pull some absolute blinders out now and again.

Fruity, but slightly sour and no so sweet.

This is why I never use Ratebeer etc. Every now and again a bottle pops up in thw shop and I’ll buy it because it looks interesting. Some times it’ll suck some times I’ll get a result. Occasionally it’ll be fantastic.

Picked this up yesterday and seeing as it was a 2013 vintage I figured I’d be ok to drink it straight away [emoji1]

Made by Struise and described as a Royal Stout, it was amazing stuff. Adding to the fun, they couldn’t decide how strong it was. The OG label said 11%ABV, the import label 13%ABV.
