I just ordered an XL on the basis of the new slightly wider chest measurements. I can't wait to get this…obviously i'll be able to wear it come the weekend when temperatures are merely at 30+ degrees C!

What's the verdict? Chest fits just right, shoulders snug. Couldn't afford to lose much with shrinkage so would cold wash. My indigo is an xxl and on @neph93 and @rocket recommendation I washed at 90 c for shrinkage. Don't really want to rely on over shrinkage for fit.

Arm length and hem length look spot on and the body fits great. I can see you fill out the shoulders but it looks good still. The important thing is whether you feel you can get on with them.

You’d defo need some serious shrinkage for arms on an XXL to work so I can see your point.

How did you get on with the vest?

@neph93 I am inbetween sizes in just about all IH items. It can be frustrating when you the see how perfectly they fit others. S7ch is life. I've found my perfect fit in jeans, the 555, and XXL fits well in most IH jackets.

I think I will keep the XL ihsh 68 blk. Like most IH fabrics it's pretty crisp straight out the bag. With wear the give and softening will help relax the shoulder. I rarely wash my clothes for more than 30 mins on 30c so shrinkage shouldn't be an issue. The only shirt I got any real shrinkage out of (without intentionally trying) is my indigo ihsh 33, which is expected to shrink. That fits me pretty nicely.

Thanks for the expertise and advice, as ever mate  😎

And no vest yet. I'm frankly waiting to see what happens weather wise as a shirt and vest in 30+ degrees would not be fun. My wife is also not  a fan…Like most...of vests. She thinks they have an old man vibe. I did remind her that as I turned 45 yesterday, I am indeed an old man  😶

As @Sam  noted in ihsh 62, this iteration has edge fades to the collar, cuff, and few other places. I would have washed to take out the crisp initial blackness, so no bad thing in my opinion.

@neph93 thanks to Adam's help, he found me an XL with perfect fit all round…got an IH 68 IND too in almost exactly the same fit. Mega happy! Thanks again for the invaluable advice mate.

If I wear an XL in the IH-526J (big in the body but needed to get the length in the arms) and a 34 in the IH-634S, what would be best for this? I usually just go with what Giles' size is for anything and it works well. I've just not purchased a shirt from IH before so wanted to know what'd be best. If it helps any, I have a 15.5" neck and am 6'6". Thanks!  😎

That was going to be my suggestion. A properly carried out hot wash will shrink these too so if it does come up a little big you have room to play.

This has been getting a lot of wear, oftentimes as a shacket over a hoodie.  A few washes.  Nice little bit of slow evo developing.

@nurunuru that is some lovely evo on the cuff. The black tabby fading is sweet.
