@Giles seems like the best things are made in Japan. We used these hooks. Sharper than any suture needles I have seen.

I was thinking more about the weight of the line. Do you bait hooks or is the appearance and movement of the lure enough to get the fish going?

No bait, the appearance of the lure and the way it is retrieved is what does the business.  On that set up, I have 60lb braid mainline with a 130lb nylon leader.
