It's obvious that the loss of David E Kelley and Jonathan Shapiro was a blow that even Mighty Goliath couldn't bear. Season 2 is sloppy and full of holes. I think the weird aspects of the season's villains have perhaps distracted critics from how godawful the writing is and how missing courtroom drama is from the season.

      Think it, be it.

I started on THE HANDMAID'S TALE… It's refreshing to find such a coldhearted show in the hot weather we're having...

Also finished ASH VS EVIL DEAD - guilty pleasure?.. Perhaps... But after a couple of episodes, the season kicks off and it's good ole fun like the first seasons...

        Still miss ATLANTA though... Dariussssssssss...

Wait until you get on to season two. I’m almost done with it and it is next level brutal. But beautiful at times too.

Atlanta is great because you have absolutely no idea what you're going to get from week to week.

"Fubu" and "Teddy Perkins" from season two were just excellent episodes.

Meek, mild and dishonest with a special place in Hell.

I decided to not to comment when you said you’d started it to let you make up your own mind but it really is shite (imho [emoji1]). Starts ok, few episodes of turd, looks like it may get good…. then more turd. Turd, turd, turd.

You nailed it… it Started ok and then totally just shuts down. It’s like a practical joke “let’s see how many dumb shits we can get to watch the entire season.”  Next time feel free to speak your mind. I give you leave!

Just finished The Keepers.  7 part docuseries on Netflix.  Investigates the murder of a young nun who worked at a catholic high school in the Baltimore area in the late 60's/early 70's.  The investigation leads to the uncovering of a whole heap of shit going on in the Catholic church.  Talk about opening up a can of worms.  Good shit…might piss you off but good stuff.

THE VIETNAM WAR and THE CIVIL WAR - both multi-ep documentaries by KEN BURNS... Titles might clue you in as to what they're about... The first one aired in 2017-2018, the latter's from 1990... World class material...

I felt the same with Luke Cage, didnt struck me at all.

Total opposite of those shows, but GLOW is a fun watch (first season, at least- I haven't watched the second yet).

They are partnering with XM on a comedy radio station. They really have done a great job with stand-up, which is great since their other streaming offerings aside from the occasional original production are lacking.

American Greed. I can't stop watching it on my YouTube TV DVR. I swear I'm not an old lady but I do enjoy true crime.

The key takeaway for me is that unbridled greed makes people incredibly stupid–I know this is an obvious statement, but seriously: even dumber than you can imagine. One would expect a degree of sophistication amongst con men/women, but there are countless examples of obvious fraud where people straight up steal from "clients" (marks) in ways that clearly would attract the attention of regulators and associates, and then spend the money on things that can't be recovered (luxury items that depreciate, or drugs, or gambling, or hookers, or all of the above) such that they can't come close to making things right when they are inevitably busted.

There was one dude who got busted ripping off his neighbors in a straight-up grift (not even a Ponzi scheme) and while he was out on bail on multiple federal charges was spending their money lavishly right in front of them in defiance of the court's order to preserve what assets he had left (this netted him two more years in jail). I'm surprised more of these tales don't end with the perpetrators getting killed by the marks.

They'll victimize people who are vulnerable more often than they do the wealthy, and I can't help but get pissed off by some of these stories of people who live high on the hog by simply stealing working class folks' retirements that they have made lifelong compromises to accrue. Sometimes they'll hurt two sides, when, say, a charity to whom they've donated someone else's money has to return the funds, while the mark gets pennies on the dollar back, screwing up their retirement, and in some cases, costing them their damn house. There were even a coupe of people who killed themselves in shame for having fallen for a scam. Absolutely perverse.

Love Stacey Keach as narrator as well.

Unfortunately, we have plenty of people in the world who have figured out ways to do this legally, which is even more infuriating.

Anyway, sorry for the rant, but clearly the show has captivated me: back to your regularly scheduled programming...

                                            Think it, be it.
