      @Max:

      Regarding the taper: I was not looking for a heavy taper, but the discussion that led to the birth of the 633 & 888 was, that in sizes above 34 the hem gets super wide on straight cuts like the 634 or the cargoes, while the Silhouette of the wearer doesn't require that.

      That actually hadn't occurred to me, probably because I always have mine full length and do about three full rolls. In that respect a taper might not make much difference to me… A good point, well made.

          Max makes me think of an interesting general principle, and perhaps this already occurs in some fashion: diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks: progressive tapering within the same "cut" as measurements go up to account for the flaring effect of larger pants. Straight at small sizes, more and more tapered at larger ones, in recognition of the fact that ankles don't necessarily scale as dramatically as waists across bodies.

          Duck makes me think of Carhartt, in fact it is far more associated in my mind with them than ripstop, where ripstop is more of a military thing to me. But I don't hate Carhartt either. I definitely understand it's not for everyone, but it's a good way to ruggedize a light fabric.

          Think it, be it.

            Correct me if I am wrong but didn't cargos sell slow? Plus no interest from retailers? Perhaps this is because of the wider cut previous versions had. A more modern cut like the 888 might sell better. I for one would instantly cop a pair but if they were like previously versions I wouldn't.

            That or because it’s not the 90’s anymore. I should probably put all of my comments regarding cargos in the unpopular opinions  thread. [emoji41]

                            I'd love for said work shirt to come in short sleeves too. Madras in short sleeves makes a lot of sense to me and most of mine historically have been that way fwiw.

                            As well, a natural short sleeved loopwheeled Henley, and because it wouldn't be a McLain request without it, a run of them dipped in indigo. Also perhaps a gray Heather version and/or whatever solid colors. Fiancee bought be a washed gray one and I immediately thought Haraki would kill something like that and it would look boss standalone or as an undershirt you could vent by unbuttoning a skosh. Maybe it has a chest pocket with a W. Maybe it had a label on the hem.

                                To further hijack @UnTucked idea, I had a vision of a simple brass tool that would clip to a belt and offer both bottle opening and keychain function. It's possible it could look more like the brass-w10 and hang on a belt loop instead of a belt, though this design would be able to do either while offering a nice lever for the opener.

                                        ^ I agree with this and was actually just wishing for it. In my size, the 666-WH are pretty full in the leg and do t have the classic white Jean style. Would love a 777 cut in them (but a 555 would be glorious as well)

                                            I’d be interested in seeing what H could come up, but my first impression is that this screams grandpa.
