Your new boots are so good @neph93

Thank you @den1mhead I’ve always admired them on the website but in the flesh they are astounding.
It’s interesting how slight changes in the build radically change the overall profile of the boot. In addition, how the «bench built» factor also creates a difference between pairs. My other two Wesco’s on the MP toe have slightly different configurations and leathers and the overall experience and profile of each pair of boots is quite unique.

Evo update of my IHVB hikers, rough-in edition.
I've used them to explore the Rockies since I got them and they have served me well. Glad I opted for the smoothout configuration, as I am really enjoying the evo.

Cheers neph!
I'm not sure since I've not worn a Danner style before. I have relatively high arches and find these to be comfortable from office settings to hiking to class 3 scrambles / bouldering, which is about the extent of my climbing repertoire.
What they are not good for as @derivative666 will tell you is trail running. They are extremely heavy!
But they are rugged, warm, comfortable, capable for the kinds of outdoor exploration I do, and keep water out.

Completely agree no Danner no Viberg on trail, you want trail shoes look for Altra Lone Peaks, Merrell Trail Gloves or New Balance Minimum 10v1. I also like hiking in bedrock sandals
