    @Matty123:

    @Warner is it possible to make boutonnieres in brass?

    Possible of course, but I don't see doing it right now. The majority of our costs on pieces like these are in the manufacturing, the labor and techniques, not the actual metals. There wouldn't be much difference in price.

      Right on. I was wondering if Brass was more difficult to Work with for such small intricate pieces. Thanks @Warner

      Maybe so. Maybe not

        Not really more difficult, just need to change a few things like the crucibles for melting the metal, temperature settings on everything and we use different benches and tools. Also, brass is dirtier than even silver to work with. Brass is a good metal, but not patch on silver or gold for my money. And it's not what we normally do.

        If you make it to LA, email Rachel@goodart.com and see if she can set up a Nickel Tour.

          If you want the look of brass but in something the feels even better then i suggest 22k yellow gold.
          I understand that's at a higher cost, but when it comes to Good Art, we generally don't consider cost as a barrier to what is and what isn't possible.

                        I’ve always loved the club rings, but that signet is also fantastic.

                                Cool.  Yours is a club ring, mine is a signet (does not have the rosettes on the side)

                                    The staples are off the table I’m afraid. The crew weren’t satisfied with the damage done to the garment when they were attatched and chose not to offer them because of that.

                                      We can get them, but as Reuben says, we have to punch a hole through the fabric and were unhappy about doing that to customer garments.

                                        Thank you Guys for the Info, makes Perfect Sense. I thought when you presented them that this might be a big hole but I like the idea of it being on there forever vs a Pin or so, maybe something like a Rivet mounting would be easier to mount, not that I have any clue about Clothes.

                                          I saw Giles staple on his IH-526j and it sits securely, and I don’t think there will be any danger of further tearing because it is on the pocket flap which isn’t exposed to stress. It looks fantastic too.

                                          The problem from a sales point of view is that the underside exposes weft and loose threads. Selling a new jacket like that is problematic. If the staple was placed on less robust fabric or areas prone to stress then the integrity of the fabric may degrade quite quickly.
