@Chap and @DrPat and @ALL - we will be having a fish'n'chips event on Friday 6th and Saturday 7th July, following on from Selvedge Run in Berlin. Haraki san will be here, along with Tom and Kenta
Outline plan is for fish'n'chips'n'drinks on Friday evening (venue TBC), then usual gathering at the IHUK workshop on Saturday afternoon with barbecue (yakitori) and lots of drinks and chats and general fun, and possibly a little mayhem.
I'll start a new thread soon, but basically this year we want to keep it very simple (after the rigours of last year's Kanreki event I have promised myself a break!) All comers are welcome but will need to make own hotel bookings, so we'll include a list of suggested accommodation when we start the Fish'n'Chips July 2018 thread.

It's in a really beautiful building and if the weather is good you can sit out in a courtyard. The food is tremendous.

All this talk of the Spring Garden makes me sad that I won't be going to Fish-n-chips. I assume Tommy will be egregiously cheating at pool again?

Might send the guy an email tomorrow.I called the Spring Garden last week and they said all the rooms were booked out because of the sailing.
