Watched Coco the other night with my boy and thought it was very good. My son thought it was scary at first but afterwards when I explained to him the importance of family and honoring them (after they've died) it made him cry.

Coco is the shizzle. Best animated flick ever in the whole wide universe.
I feel like I say this once a month in here.

Agreed. Although, I tend to think most Pixar films are pretty good. Coco kinda reminded me a little of some of the stuff Miyazaki has put out – a good story that typically creates an emotional response. Even though parts of Coco were sad there were other parts that were uplifting and positive.

Story was good, animation was amazing, the Dia De Los Muertos and Mexican culture as a whole was represented accurately (to the best of my knowledge anyways). It's a very rich, strong, vibrant culture that doesn't get represented too often in mainstream media and Pixar nailed it.

The Mummy: 6/10
Not sure what I thought of The Mummy. I like Tom Cruise and there were elements I liked, but if this was their attempt at reviving the old Universal classics then it could've been better.

I went into it with very low expectations and was pleasantly surprised at the end. Not a great movie but, not a total waste of time, either.

The latter would be "Murder on the Orient Express", the remake by Kenneth Branagh?
If so, may I recommend the original 1974 film by Sidney Lumet, with Albert Finney as Hercule Poirot? Truer to the book, the Poirot character (much!), and overall so much better!

Interesting; I have a strong feeling it's going to be meh.
I suspect both our opinions will be confirmed for us upon viewing.

Avengers Infinity War was…......pretty good.

same, but then again, I still haven't seen The Last Jedi so that about sums up my excitement towards the Star Wars franchise.
Tonight i'll be watching either The Babadook or Jack Reacher: Never Go Back

I enjoyed Avengers, though I'd agree with reviews that it depended on the other films in the franchise to do the heavy lifting in setting up the characters.
I was really amused by the "We can deep fry your kebab" sign in the window of a Scottish takeaway, though.
I saw Isle of Dogs on Monday, which is Wes Anderson's latest. That's better than The Avengers.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back - 5/10. Meh
I typically find entertainment value in Tom Cruise's movies but this one was one big snore fest. The girl who played his 'daughter' couldn't act her way out of a paper bag and was the single most annoying thing about the film.

I watched Batman Ninja last night and I loved it. It was over the top crazy. Batman Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Highly recommended if you want to watch something different.
