General Food/Eating Discussion

The best thing I ever ate:
I was 17 and my class did a trip to france, it was Orange in the Provence. 5 of my best friends and me went to a small french restaurant (lokked like a living room) and ordered everything on the card, although we didn't know french very well. We had 4 rounds, each one better than the other. The best IMO was rabbit (?) in tomato sauce. I never ever ate this well again. oh well, culinaric highlight at the age of 17. Sad thing.
The best thing I drank so far: Midleton Very Rare in an old irish pub near the Cliffs of Moher. A small band played and I ate Fish & Chips after a stormy day at the cliffs in march. One glass cost me 16 €. Meanwhile I prefer Lagavulin, Laphroaig, Claynelish and Highland Park, but it was unique then.

I've never had a decent slice anywhere outside of NYC, but you'll hear a lot of New Yorkers say that
Jody insists the place by the house has great pizza, but I'm convinced it tastes like Satan's anus
Not sure where you're at in MD. I spent a month in DC a few years ago and best pizza found was Mama Lucias in Silver Spring… NY style, but I've never been to NY so I won't claim whether that's truly the case or not.

I might check that out. My stepson goes to school in Silver Spring. I work in Rockville and I live in Bowie

Never have come across that particular shop. But it sounds/looks delicious.
We do have a place called "kebab shop" which is great. But on a pizza is genius. Needs to be imported.
