I’ve sworn off messy, shitty mirror pics for a while but need to get one out today.

Scored this from the Outlet. Sized up to XXL because wearing as intended over a tee or shirt in summer is just a non-starter where I live. Rainy days in summer reach a high of 12-14C but can easily stall at 8-10C. I can layer this over hoodies/UHF’s/heavy shirts, on rainy days ftom late spring to early autumn.

Tried on today for the pre-school run in heavy snow and -5C (March in N. Norway is a joy [emoji849]) over an IH hoodie and IHTL-1700…not warm enough for that kind of weather really, but tackled the snow beautifully.

Cheers, buddy. It's a really nice jacket. Functional but sharp cut and serious ninja material. Smooth, matte colour silky hand. Not plasticky at all. It feels more like treated cotton than a poly/cotton blend. Great work from H-san (not that I'm surprised.

@neph93  thinking of picking one up in Navy. Alex is happy to send an XL and xxl for me to try and compare. The material looks much more breathable than the Cordura jackets. What's your Take? I'd wear this of a t or UHF in UK spring and Autumn. Cheers dude

I’ve worn it twice mate, both times as you see in the pic above, both times in pretty cold conditions. Given those parameters I can’t really give a detailed answer but it certainly breathes better than cordura. How it will work alone over a tee in terms of airiness,I couldn’t tell you. For a spring/summer evening/early autumn jacket you couldn’t ask for a better weight.

@neph93 thanks mate. Ordered xl and xxl today so will have a good idea by next week. My only hesitation with any showerproof jacket is when they don't have a hood…but my Arc'teryx takes care of really wet weather.

                              Verdict?

I realize this jacket is intended to be short but I'm not a huge fan of short shirts and jackets so keep that in mind when I give you my two cents….but XL looks too short in the body and too tight when layering over the hoody.  XXL looks much better to me although the sleeves are a tad long...that's not a deal breaker for me.

                                I say XXL.

Imho the XL is too short to wear with the hoodie. In fact I’d say the XXL looks best in both sets of pics.

How's your movement in the XL with the layer(s) underneath? I would probably go XXL, but I always go for comfort/functionality over form, and outerwear should be able to be layered. They both look fine to me. Just a question how they feel.

Thanks folks. It is the length of the arms on the XXL that concerned me. The XL is definitely shorter in arms and body.

The XL is tighter across the shoulders. I always like the option of layering and just wearing a tee. It's a difficult balance to pull off

Didn’t pay much attention to the arms at first. I guess they’re a little long. It wouldn’t bother me but if it bothered you, you may end up avoiding the jacket. Have you tried flipping them?

@neph93 bought from the outlet. One needs to go back. Never had a problem with sleeve length until I started to buy IH. My perfect size would be XL1/2!  Think I might stick with the XXL
