great purchase

and me!
now first impressions:
boots are great, heavy and looks indestructible
definitely nice boots.size cause some questions:
I can put them on quite easely with the straps tighten up as they come from the store(3rd from the last hole), there is no anything like a tight feeling, the heel is slipping easely, even if I am not walking.
I can put them off quite easely, without any significant effort
I am currently trying them with a thin dress socks, what I am usually wear in the office, since I am changing the boots in the office to something more comfortable and dressy, so I would like to wear the boots with a thin socks as well. Sould I try to put them on with some additional insole(insert one more insole under existing leather insole)?
sould I try tmem with tightly fasten straps?what would be the experts suggestions?
Since this is quite expensive boots for me, I would prefer to have everyithing just the right way and there is still half size smaller boots available at the stock…

socks make a huge difference.
try on the boots with socks you plan to wear with the boots and I think that will resolve your issue.
again great purchase and great looking boot

but this is the socks that I usually wear and plannig to wear :-\
boots are great, no questions… but still kind of thinking to go half size down.
-
go half a size down then ???
thought you were wearing thin socks for dress shoes

thought you were wearing thin socks for dress shoes
yes, but I don't really want to take different socks for the office each day
I want to go to the office with boots and then jump to the office shoes. changing the socks in the office going to be too much for me, I am too old for this sh#tI am going to wait for few more experts(who has engineer boots) opinion based on my description ::) and then make a decision.
(any comments guys? @neph93, @Appfaff, @den1mhead, @marlin) -
tried them once again, definitely far to big for me.
even at the evening, when the foot is slightly bigger it still feel too big for me.
I would send it back for exchange for 9.5D, think it would be best decision.even thought I want to wear them really much…
and probably it still not the best weather for Engineers in my town yet... still have some gap in time..

I'am not a expert at all, but here are my thoughts.
I ordered the boot in 9,5 at first, but when I tryed it on my first thought was, they are to big. Since I wanted the best fitting size, I ordered the 9 as well and compared them side by side. My first feeling proofed to be right, because I ended with the 9.
With the 9,5 I slipped just to much at the heel, it just didn't feel right. Can't explain it better than that, sorry!
The 9 had still minor play in the heel, but this got regulated by the worn in midsole, which gets the boot a bit smaller afterwards.
My tip, if you want to get it right, order the next smaller size and compare them side by side.

@theorocks, thanks…you have the front at the IH WAYWT-Thread as well. It's antike horsehide made from Alexander Leather, sorry I don't know the IH number.
-
@Bulatik85 sounds like you may need to go down a size. Glad you like them though. They look tremendous.

@neph93 do you mean a full size down? I am currently planning to go half-size down.
