So seeing the drama in the UK just leaves me shaking my head in irritation. One would think that a nation that is famous for its sub optimal weather is not so easily set in panic by a few snowflakes. 🙂

To be fair, i'm far more sympathetic to places that don't regularly see this kind of weather as they're not equipped to handle it. When I was in college I did a 'study abroad' program in northern Japan on the Sea of Japan side. We got pounded by so much snow that it was waist high in some areas. My mom lives on the Pacific side of northern Japan and they don't get as much snow, although it does get frigid. Here in Minnesota we just got over a foot of snow in 48 hrs. Parking sucked but the snow plows were out in full force and now everything is fine.

More like a whimpering complaint but  here we go.

My daughter now prefers teletubbies to Sesame Street. I do not. I have a sneaking suspicion that  teletubbies is a British invention.

          Maybe so. Maybe not

I've been trying to get my granddaughter to like the cartoons I liked growing up. It started with Ducktales and now it's Animaniacs (interestingly enough, they've both been recently rebooted).

I didn't realize how annoying Animaniacs was until now…I need to apologize to my parents.

I'm kinda lucky in that my boy likes a lot of the stuff I introduce him to. Yes, he does like some of the cheese like Dinosaur Train, Caillou and the like but he also likes Transformers, Teen Titans Go, Spongebob, Gatchaman (Japanese cartoon), Voltron and all the other typical fare that 5 year olds like.

@Matty123 your daughter will soon outgrow the Teletubbies and move onto something else. When my son was 2-3 we watched a steady stream of Barney, Sesame Street, Odd Squad and whatever else was on PBS, but the local library yielded a bigger variety of stuff, so I could pick and choose what my son watched.

The library has been an indispensable resource for books/cartoons for my son as well as dvd's for myself. I go there weekly and it's always fun. Of course, every library is different and some do not have child friendly amenities, like a play area, but it's never a wasted trip.

I know it's a cliche but kids grow up fast and you learn to appreciate seeing them mature. Changing poopy diapers and cleaning up vomit was an experience i'll never forget, but I don't exactly want to go through it again  😃 Nowadays it's all about teaching my boy about being self-reliant and learning how to do things for himself. It's challenging but still a good experience.

tl; dr: shipped out Feb 09. It's being sent BACK to me one month later. Never even left the country. I refunded the buyer yesterday, and now have to shell out another 32€ to ship it IF the buyer still wants the item…

Q:  What are (Insert Jean Brand)'s recommended washing instructions?
A:  The same as every other brands!  Don't overthink it.  You're washing jeans not trying to brew the perfect cup of coffee.  Temperature doesn't have to be exact.
