I really liked it and I like Sam Rockwell.
I thought the ending lends itself to a follow on? not sure if that has been mentioned anywhere in film land.

I’m a bit old fashioned in the sense that I believe if you’re telling a story you need to tell the whole fucking story

You mean PRETENTIOUS SHIT PEAKS

I hated the ending ???
***** Potential spoiler** (I tried to be as vague as possible)
I strongly disliked the ending at first, too. But, after discussing it with the person I went with, I realized that it's strongly suggested how things will conclude, which shows some real growth for at least one of the characters. (Who'd have thought you'd be cheering for him at the end of the day?) I've come to be quite satisfied with the ending.

Yeh, still rather them show me than suggest it. It’s a movie not a Dungeons and Dragons choose your own adventure book.

Thor Ragnarok - 8/10
Entertaining, especially since the first two Thor movies were practically devoid of humor. My son loved it as well. Afterwards he decided he wanted the same haircut as Thor
-
Bonus points too that my boy liked Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song
-
Robert Plant's howling was the worst part of the movie for me.
Cate Blanchett, however…

Saw Annihilation this evening with the Mrs. I thought it was a great film with the last 20 minutes elevated through superb visuals and an ambient techno inspired soundtrack
However, Jules felt it was a bit slow at the start but felt engaged in the second half. Interesting / unusual story . . .

Good to hear. I really like Alex Garland's stuff, so i'm excited to see this film

Tried watching Pacific Rim lastnite with my boy and that was a complete and utter fail
I assumed that because he enjoyed Thor Ragnarok he would also enjoy a bunch of giant robots bashing kaiju ass. Wrong. Not only was it too long for him but I think the fact that a lot of the Jaeger/Kaiju fights didn't happen as often as my boy would've liked he lost interest.
I also tried to get him to watch Batman vs Superman lastnite and he fell asleep 30 minutes into the movie. Again, too long and no point of reference for him to understand the context of what was going on. I tried explaining the Bruce Wayne dream sequence in the beginning but he just couldn't get it. He seemed intrigued by the Wonder Woman movie so maybe i'll try giving that a go next.
