Thanks, @Black Orchid! Happy belated birthday.

I watched the whole of Altered Carbon this week. When it was good it was great. Sadly it went to shit by the end. The occasional bad acting I can forgive but poor story-telling at critical moments and cheap hooks spoiled it. It made me sad because it’s a good book and they were close to realising it in a very cool way. I’d watch a second series if they make it.

Marcia calls it "Altered Cabrón"
That one sounds like it would be more fun.
For sure…
Have you David Simon fans seen Generation Kill? Best mini series EVER
Just started a 2nd tour of SHOW ME A HERO… Which I think is even better (if you like politics)...
The f**k you say
COME AT ME BRO…
I wish I could insert some more pics and quotes...

I agree on the book; I enjoyed it quite a bit. Too bad they couldn't nail down a solid version of it. I may watch, just to see where I think they went wrong…

This is all my humble opinion, but if you can ignore some dodgy acting and exposition then I found e.1-7 good. I was invested and entertained. There comes a plot twist in e.8 that they handle poorly and e.9-10 would have been fine if it was compressed into one episode and they finished it with some finesse. But they didn’t. It becomes clunky, repetitive, overwrought and obvious… knobheads.
I’ve moved on to Preacher. First episode was hysterical.

See I could never get into Preacher, I loved the comic book but the TV show was extremely slow imo.

I couldn’t get on with Preacher either. Mrs loved it, but not for me.

“Crashing” on HBO is great. I love seeing all the comedians as themselves. Artie Langes true to life portrayal of himself and his addiction is potent. But the show is funny as balls

My wife had never watched Seinfeld…can you believe that? (Or Sopranos for that matter) si we're up to season 5. The gags hold up well after more than 20 years. Kramer still kills me.

I've also never seen a single episode of either one….. [emoji28][emoji28][emoji28]
As a conscious decision or just not been on your radar? I'm the same with Game of Thrones though. Have no desire whatsoever to watch.

Sopranos is pretty good, although I admit my memories of the show are colored by the fact that I was living in New Jersey for three of its seasons, so it felt very accurate in replicating that environment. I don't know if I'd like it as much without that connection.
The popularity of Seinfeld mystifies me. I've tried to watch it, but it's just not funny.

Currently watching Ash vs Evil Dead. Silly slapstick horror but I like Bruce Campbell and it is kinda funny. The wood hand kills me
@gaseousclay If you like this sort of thing (like I do), then if you haven't already seen it, see if you can find "Todd and the Book of Pure Evil" , done 2 series back in 2010. Think ash v evil dead/buffy the vamp slayer. I found it recently, not much makes me laugh out loud but some of this was hilarious.
