@Appfaff , that is seriously fucked up. My advice is to get extremely petty about it and waste as much of their time as possible, if it is a national chain them email their head office daily, tweet the owners, definitely do your review plan etc…

I’ve had some recent successes after poor service and rude dealings with some employees of large companies, people hate dealing with their employees fuck ups and generally will cave. Unless they’re a borderline sociopath like me  😎

Sadly, I don’t want to ever do business with these people. I just want the stupid review gone - so no matter what I say, unless someone can track down the IP address of the google review, pinpoint it to a computer or cell phone in the Business’s vicinity, I’m not sure what else I can try to do.

^ agreed. I would mail them a letter every week and email Them a letter every day. I would call
And ask for the GM every single day. I would have others call to ask If this is how they treat their customers. I would be relentless. Just ask @Adam or @Alex about my previous sizing inquiries 🙂 I angry  that this happened to you.

I feel that eventually the person would  take it down for the annoyance that your phone calls are causing.

+1… After more than 20 years in various customer service jobs, taking up a skilled trade, again, saved my sanity. I will gladly don the hardhat, before shirt and tie, anyday.

Basically eBay screwed me over …..twice. So I bombarded all their social media accounts, emails, phone calls and I mean constant barrage......I was even annoying myself. I demanded that THEY respond to my EVERY message and enquiry, made everything public on all their social media accounts etc....

                Generally was a dick.

6 months and thousands of dollars later….no selling for you :). Super high barrier of entry, then competitive as feck. No thanks!

Oof. Damn back pain flaring up again. Everytime we have temperature fluctuations my upper back hurts pretty badly. I usually try to crack my own back or end up taking ibuprofen but the discomfort still lingers. I'm convinced I have an arthritic spine, or scoliosis catching up to me in my old age.

True, just frustrating. Prior to that I had to have my back windshield replaced because it shattered from road debris from another driver. But the sideview mirror was to be expected. We got over a foot of snow in the last 2 days so snow emergency parking sucked. Had to shovel my way out this morning

                                        Another day, another coding test.

I've been put forward for a contract role with a major consultancy company, who want to place a developer into a bank. Naturally, despite both sides of the client relationship being profitable, the rate on offer is 20% to 30% down on what it should be.

The consultancy is complaining that they can't find anyone to fill the role (funny that), and that they interviewed and rejected me last year, so they're being a bit shirty.

I'm toying with sending them an email pointing out the various flaws in the coding test from a software engineering perspective (incomplete specification, unrealistic time estimate, and that it contains the cardinal sin of premature optimisation), just to be a bit of a smart alec.

It's probably a stupid thing to do, but might be fun. 😃

Incidentally, I wish that employers would realise that the recruitment process is two way. Putting off candidates before you've interviewed them isn't going to help you find good staff.
