FWIW the 4041 is the traditional “Christy” but I think people lump all foam based soles into the Christy category.

I have the 2021 on two pairs of boots and prefer it in almost all ways…

The 2021 is my favorite sole so far. My boots with that sole are the only ones I wear on City trips where I go Sightseeing all day Long. If the gloxicut performs as well with more traction I'm super happy.

And - probably a very unpouplar opinion - I think boots with high heelstacks look much worse.

Ok, so my IH 62 indigo wabash needs a wash.. are there any precautions I need to take? Concerns about streaks? Should I presoak and use a front loading machine? Spin no spin? Dryer or hang to dry?

I always just turn it inside-out, and chuck it in the top-loader we have at home, warm water, regular cycle with spin. Then I tumble dry it, hot.  Of course, I wasn't at all worried about shrinkage, and I did get some the first couple times.  No weird streaks or anything, though.

Ok, thanks guys. I wouldn’t mind some shrink. But I’ll drop dry it to be safe.

Same here, except I wash in cold water.

Alex, if I’m looking for a little shrink can I increase the temp of the water? Or do u advise against that?

I’ve blasted some of my wabash on 90C with 800rpm to get max shrinkage. It doesn’t shrink quite as much as UHR for example but it’s quite effective.

I’d say wash at 40C and see how you feel. If there isn’t enough action go to 60. One thing, washing will accelerate wear on exposed areas (collar, cuffs, hems, hemmed corners etc.).

For sure, you are not more at risk of streaks from hotter water, but of shrinkage. If you wash at 40 and need more shrink, try at 50, then 60etc.

The juice cleanse must be working… 😛

And - without having looked and compared measurements yet - are they designed to follow the female body shape, or are they just smaller sizes of regular IH shirts?

Are the ones that there is a (tiny) stock of in Japan in either LS or LM. Yes, the size is designed for a female body, it is not a 'XXS'

@neph93 @sabergirl @Alex @Chris ok so i took a bit of all your recommendations and i washed the shirt twice yesterday. i pre-soaked the shirt in 55C water for about 5 mins then i did a 40C delicate cycle with no spin. then shortly after that i did a 55C delicate wash with no spin. it was a gamble but it worked out. i let the shirt drip dry overnight and then when it was a little damp this morning i put it in the dryer on high heat for 20 minutes. the shirt looks great and there are no streaks. it fits better too. i can def afford to do another hot wash and a little more drying next time. id like to get some more shrink out of this one. thanks again everybody.

this is the greatest shirt i have ever owned. the quality of the fabric, the construction, feel, color, design.. everything is just so great about this shirt. and the fades in the creases are great. i will post pics the next time i see the sun.
