Last week I hit up a dealership to check out a car I wanted for my wife on Tuesday. I told them I needed to get a trade allowance before I made the 2 hour drive.
It took them until Friday to give me a trade in allowance and I set an appointment for Saturday at 3:15.
On Saturday at 1:30 I looked online and the vehicle was gone. I emailed and called and they verified the car was gone.
However, if I had not looked, I would have driven 2 hours to see a car that didn’t exist.
When the Reps from the company called to ask how my experience was, I told them what happened and how disappointed I was in their lack of communication.
I got a call back this morning at 9:57am where the lady left a voicemail saying that it was my fault the cars sold (which wasn’t my issue, I was just pissed it took 4.5 days to give me atrade allowance and didn’t call me to say the card had sold) because it took me to long to schedule an appointment.
At the end of her voicemail, she said “have a great day as CrossFit” in a rather condescending manner.
3 minutes later this google review comes through for my business:

It’s just been a nightmare from the start with these guys.
Obviously it’s a fake google account, so I can’t prove anything, but the fact that the “user” has never emailed us, dosnt exist on FB and created their account today pretty much coincides perfectly with the whole scenario

One course of action might be local media/newspapers… there’s a lot of circumstantial evidence, enough for a story where the car seller is given right of reply.
We had a similar case in my town recently that made the news and was very embarrassing for the company and individual who made the false account and review, despite them denying their guilt.

We once had a guy write a 1 star review of our store after he tried to return a used bottle of cologne.
He came in, said he didn't like the cologne and wanted a different one. We told him there's not much we could do with used cologne and he turned around, while in the store wrote the 1 star review on Yelp and left.
Best part is that a few weeks ago he came back and bought more cologne from us again…

I get it - people are assholes - the chain of events is unlikely Anything but what I believe it to be, although my plan of attack is to leave a glorifying review on the dealership page talking about how great the lady was, how she was held up my management and then hint that I know what was up with her shitty review.
If she feels like a piece of shit, good.
If she feels like a piece of shit and removes her review, even better.
Since the review did name me specifically, I reported it to google under “bullying/slander” - hopefully they remove it.

i have a lot of stupid people come through everyday. the worst ones are when they are stupid and entitled..
Scenario 1
Lady: i'd like to return this underwear because it doesn't fit.
Staff: sorry, for hygiene reasons.. you'd get the point.
Lady: but i haven't tried it on.WELL, how would you know it doesn't fit if you haven't tried them on?
Scenario 2
Lady: i'd like to return this swimwear because it doesn't fit
Staff: i'm sorry, due to hygiene reasons…
Lady: Repeats the same thing
Staff: Explains policy
Lady: Repeats it for the third time
Staff: Explains policy..a moment of silence occurs assuming the customer understood the fact
Customer then proceed to throw swimwear at staff, say whatever and walks off.

Was standing in line to get a burrito at Whole Foods the other day. The sandwich counter is just to the right of it. If you've been to a Whole Foods you know they typically have at least 7-10 different types of bread to choose from. Lady comes up to the counter and the following happens:
Lady: I need two sandwiches.
Employee: No problem. What kind of bread would you like?
Lady: White bread.
Employee: I'm sorry we don't have white bread. You can feel free to choose from any of the breads here (points to glass case of front of her with 7-10 different breads).
Lady: I want white bread. Can't you go out into the store and get a loaf from the shelf and use that?
Employee: I'm sorry the only options are here in the case.
Lady: You've got to be kidding. All I want are two sandwiches on bread.At this point I have to say something because she's making a scene, no one else is saying anything, and the employee is shackled with having to be polite rather than telling her to stop being rude.
Me: Excuse me, Why don't you stop being rude and pick one of the ten different breads right in front of your face rather than making things difficult for him (employee)?
Lady: Stares dumbfounded at me.She proceeds to get her sandwiches made by the manager who comes over to try and settle things down. The other employee who originally was helping her comes over and makes my burrito. I tell him I admire him for putting up with people like that (loud enough for the lady to hear me). He proceeds to make me the largest Whole Foods burrito of my life. Karma.
