I thought that might prove unpopular. It’d be nice on my breakfast cereal I suppose.

Great looking chair in that pic btw.

As I get older I drink less beer and I’m more of the Rum guy but this is my beer growing up that now is available  in a lot places in NY.

Oh do I ever, Bambacourt 5 start, eldorado añejo, Brugal, Barcelo, zarcapata, 8, just to mention a few, I love Rum that goes down smooth like a brandy, I also like a fine whiskey but rum is my go to mostly. Do you drink rum Jett?

Bourbon is my one true love, but I do really like Rum,although I don’t feel as if I’m especially knowledgeable as to what’s really good. I tend to gravitate towards the darker rums. I started on Meyers, went to Mount Gay, Appleton, but never especially liked Bacardi. My liquor store in NYC(Astor Wines) has a fairly big selection. I’ll definitely look for the ones you’ve recommended. Thanks!

You want a rum that you can sip nicely and goes down smooth slowly warming your chest, the one's I mention are all good rums around 18$ to 45$, the añejos or extra go for a little more but god they are good, I will post pics for you soon. The best part I get no hangover.

They have most of the rums you mentioned at Astor,at various price points. They usually have a fairly large selection, but they don't tend to discount. If you have a chance check out www.astorwines.com click on spirits, then click on all rums.I'd definitely be interested in what you thought of their selection and pricing. For what it's worth when I do drink Rum ,it's on the rocks with a lime. Thanks again.

Excellent selections, the el dorado 44$ you won't regret, is excellent, the brugal añejo 20$ is really good, Barrilito is excellent Prican rum,Barcelo imperial is very good, right there you have a good amount to try, if I stop by there I drop 500$ easy lol lol, they have primo choices , any of those 30 years old will be great to try, yes you are correct just ice and some lime (sipping), as they say in  DR, Bacardi is to clean the wounds lol.

The Eldorado was definitely one that caught my eye. Thanks so much for your input. I look forward to trying some of these.
