+3 on 25oz heavy vintage….not that I need more denim, but I’d definitely snatch that up.

Self Edge did flannel lined jeans years ago, and I think Kiya mentioned once that they were a nightmare to make.  If I remember correctly, they also went on clearance to sell the last few pairs.  Neither of those is a good sign for doing that again…

Yeah, I was thinking about the logistics of making them after I saw the suggestion and I could see given the price point, exclusivity of potential customers, and the process of making them how you definitely could run into an issue with moving units.

That being said, I would probably buy a pair (depending on price), but I know I am in the minority on that…

Aside from price point, I fail to see the need or attraction. If it’s that cold then layers are your best bet anyway, so long johns. Technical speaking, wool is much better to have closest to the skin in cold weather than cotton, and why waste all the good flannel on lining legs? Lining of a jacket I could get on board with, but not jeans.

I'd certainly be interested in a flannel or wool-lined Trucker type III jacket! They're so stylish and I wish I could wear it year round… Perhaps the ability to remove the lining via snaps, once the weather gets warmer?

I wear thermals everday during the winter months. Suits me just fine unless it dips into subzero temps. Flannel lined denim would make me melt indoors. Agree though that layers are best

Given where you live, I'd assume lined jeans might be appealing to you for some situations. I agree on the sentiments: - lined jeans are a small market, primarily for outdoor use. Indoors would be too warm. However in New England where I grew up in old, uninsulated houses, wearing warm layers indoors in winter is/was common; using aspero cotton is certainly not the best application of this fabric, so a lining should be something else.

Unless it's good quality wool that has a soft face (merino, etc.), wool is irritating. Cotton is soft and has decent insulating properties, but it absorbs water water, unlike wool, and will make you dangerously cold if active in cold temps. In the mountain communities where I live cotton is know as Death Cloth.  ???

^ exactly the problem. Cotton lined jeans here would probably freeze on your legs. The standard longs used in Norway are indeed made of very finely spun wool, often but not always merino. They are very soft and comfortable. Giving a lady friend a full set of quality wool underwear is considered very romantic in fact.

If I had UHF lined jeans I'd wear them commando… I know, unnecessary information for you guys, but hey, that's what I'd do.

Speaking of warm clothing, has the idea of a zipped duck hoody ever been brought up?  Lined with UHF, alpaca or whatnot...?

(ooooh, brown duck lined with red x black buffalo!)

Yes, wool as laying for the win.  As sexy as UHF lined jeans sounds, it wouldn't be the best option to keep warm (and dry) in Northern climates.
