What kind of running shoes are those? I like the nice wide toe box.
And then hit the pavement to try out my new running kicks
-
Hey Joe, that are Altra Torrin 3.0
They are zero drop, really cushy and have a very wide toebox but still hug the heel. Their slogan on the box is “embrace the space” - thumbs up to the marketing intern that came

Thanks @Seul - ironically, I tried being vegan a few years ago when I was into Ultra Marathon running (the majorly good guys did it so I wanted to try) and I just ate Nutella and Corn tortillas all the time haha
Another mainly food update, but that’s pretty much the highlight of my days right now. My wife has been placed on a ton of new projects so life is a bit hectic..
Left work and went to the local
Sporting good store to try on some sneakers:
Comfy but not my style…Came home and put together some charcuterie:
Enjoyed it while I was cooking some Chinook Salmon
My “healthy” kick continues with zucchini noodles and a sweet potato
Yesterday after dropping the kids off at Pre school, I ran to Mobile to see if I could find some decent Nikes
Got a pair of adidas for my son- I thought they were cool
Came home and had brisket and Brussels for lunch:
Kids hung out at the gym with me for a while and enjoyed seeing one of the “gym dogs” that comes late in the day:
This pittie, Roxy, is seriously the sweetest and most well behaved dog ever. She was found pregnant (probably for the 4th or 5th time), chIned to a pole in a trailer park. She lives a much happier life now.Came home and turned leftovers into something tasty
That’s it for me today - I’ll get another update or two before I sent the jacket to JDelange
Have a great day everyone!

I dated a vegan once. She existed almost exclusively on grilled "cheese" sandwiches. I'm surprised she didn't die of scurvy.
Though it's been years since we talked last; maybe she did…

I read that this is a thing now, lots of younger People who go Vegetarian or Vegan just Stop eating Meat but don´t change anything other then that so their Diet consits of Side Dishes and Yogurt, probably a good way to die young.

always enjoy your updates @Appfaff , give me more Type III Trucker terror
no literally show me the jacket, hahahaha
-
Thanks, I wasn't even trying.

Damn, you should buy yourself one after your leg - looks perfect
-
thanks for the images in natural sunlight and indoors.
it really is a nice piece and fits you perfectly.
what jeans are you wearing?
-
Thanks Gents - this is my “running the kids to school before I run and shower” outfit, so the jeans are just some Nudies.
I do love the jacket, and since my 9526 is a 46 and can layer over anything, I would probably get the 44 (this size) to wear over tees and lightweight shirts.

A few more updates as I fall into a busy weekend. 4 if my athletes are competing in a local event today, so I should be able to get some photos from there. Sadly, it’s at a really boring facility, and not at the beach like last time haha
Anyways…
Off to school for the kiddos:
I met up with one of my friends/employees for lunch. Little chat about life, little chat about the gym and where we wanted it to go in 2018.
We went to eat in Downtown Fairhope. Originally settled as a Utopian society for artists, the town has a little of quirky charm. Like putting flowers on their trash cans haha
The spot we ate at was a farm to table burger joint. This is their grass fed bison burger on focaccia, with Leyden cheese, local free range bacon, and a yard egg with garlic aioli -
Came home, worked for a bit and then headed to the gym to coach the evening classes. One of the best moves we made was putting up a coffee pot:
Got home and made spaghetti squash and red sauce with Italian sausage
Yesterday after morning classes I went for a run. While I pretty much hate where We live, at least it has a few ponds around for a bit of beauty amid the suburban prison
Hope everyone has a great Saturday!

Alrighty guys, my time with the Lefty has passed, and it’s officially on its way to @JDelange to spend a month in Seattle.
Sadly, the flu hit our house, so the updates were not plentiful over the last few days.
Here is my last update, and hope you guys had fun again!
I had 4 athletes taking part on a local CrossFit competition, so after classes Saturday morning, I stopped and got some breakfast and coffee at Starbucks
A few pics from the comp:
Our gentlemen ended up First in their division
The “trophies” were hilarious
A bonus pic (typical rednecks)

Sunday started off ok, and quickly turned bad with Grayson getting the flu.
Started it off with a morning run around the neighborhood:
Came home and made coffee:
Had some yogurt and granola with raw honey and “green juice”
After a 4 hour trip to the ER, came home and cooked some food.
This spice is a bomb:
Avery confused by my beard
Had a local IPA
Dinner:
Finished the rather rough day off with a glass of the good stuff
bonus pics from yesterday at the gym:
Thanks again for hanging with me this last month, it’s been great!
I’ll definitely need a 526L-OD in my life in the near future [emoji41]
