Aubamayeng to Arsenal is also an interesting one.  I would love to see him in the premier league and it would be a great signing for Arsenal.  Of course I would much rather see him join United but they don't seem interested for whatever reason.

Perhaps they're interested, but they can see how Aubamayeng behaves here in Dortmund.

We have endured with peace all his escapades. But every infringement is one to many…... even for our a star striker.

Oh does he come with drama?  I haven't followed his off field antics.

Reus is a guy I always wanted United to snag but somehow he's one that Dortmund has been able to hang on to.  I'm really surprised he hasn't been snatched up by one of the Goliaths by now.

He has seen many of his friends eaten by the Goliaths.
Some are playing back here again (Kagawa- UK, Sahin- Spain, Götze-München)
Why should he leave?  They love him here, even when he is not playing  ;).

I like Reus a lot.  I'm not saying he should leave and actually I was kind of sad to see that champions league final squad from 2013 get broken up with some of the stars leaving for the Goliath clubs like you mentioned.  It is interesting how a few have gone back though.

Dortmund kind of reminds me of Tottenham in a way in the sense that they will have some very talented players that they can't manage to hold on to.

Liverpool at its best again: first beating the league leader then losing to the bottom of the table in the next round. I know Karius didn't have much playtime at LFC but he's very stiff (and that's not what she said!), insecure and sloppy. I don't like Mignolet either but Loris is even worse. The club should really invest in a solid goalkeeper, I wonder why they didn't bid for Pickford last summer? A top-level defender wouldn't hurt either.

                    but that's what i said  😛 😛 😛 😛 😛

liverpool could definitely use a defender or two. van vijk was a good signing but he will not solve all their troubles.
anyway, on a seperate utd note, i don't think it was the right move signing sanchez. it's stupid to flex their muscles to city just for that. and i actually like miki and rate him quite highly…  😞

They don’t need a defender, they need a proper DM like Mascherano or Didi Hamman and a better GK.

I never really thought of Xabi as a traditional DM. More of an all round CM and instigator. I’m thinking of a destroyer, protecting the back four and breaking up attacks. Mascherano was ridiculously good at it.

That being said, any team would be improved by an Alonso, and you’re right about the balance. I hope and expect that is something Keita will bring though.

I'm going to have to disagree.  Sanchez was a great signing IMO and is higher quality than Miki.  Miki just wasn't performing consistently in his time at Utd and I'm not sad to see him go.

^ooo.. that's interesting.. i see a lot of fans have the hate for miki recently. but i've always adored his playmaking skills and talents. in his first few games in the CL, he made a lot of brilliant runs and passes. even back in his dortmund days, i was always hoping they'd bring him over to united. sure he's not that consistent in recent games, including giving the ball way too many times but i feel he wasn't really treated fairly over his course. either that or mou had no idea where to play him..

sanchez, on the other hand, i've had many people come tell me that they didn't think he was the right signing. i do agree that he is talented, but he's also a very selfish player. given the current bond betewen pogba and his dabbing party, i can't see sanchez getting along with them. i really didn't like it when he was a huge sulk at arsenal because of wenger, his contract and wages etc.. now, he's a winger that likes to cut in. honestly, with this signing, i'm in doubt where he can actually fit in. given that there's quick players that already play out wide..

It's not that I hate Miki and I completely agree, he has the talent and playmaking skills but if it's not consistent or completely nonexistent at times then there's not much point in having it.  I hope he does well at Arsenal and I liked him at Dortmund as well but he just wasn't cutting it at United IMO.

I had the same concerns at first as to how they would rotate him in the squad but having depth is never a bad thing especially considering the tough schedule that comes with playing in three different competitions during a season.  I think he will be a great addition.  Then again I thought the same thing about DiMaria but that didn't end up working out either.  Time will tell.

The worry I would have as a United fan is the effect that Sánchez will have on the dressing room. The money he is (allegedly) earning is going to ruffle the feathers of some the longer serving players.

Wow look at Arsenal….they've got some new life in them.  Granted it's only been one half with their new signings and Aubameyangs goal was blatantly offsides but still, 4-0 at halftime.

Also, I'm still almost irritated that Aubameyang went to Arsenal virtually unchallenged by any other clubs and for a bargain price IMO.  This guy is quality, how the hell did that happen?!  And why does it make me so angry?!

                                      Unchallenged….....?
After ten years in Dortmund our Chefscout (Sven Mislitat) left BvB in November 2017 towards Arsenal unexpected.
One is left with the impression, the Aubameyang deal was arranged much earlier 😅 .

You think it is a bargain and we quadrupled our purchase price..... it remains a mystery to me. Way to much money is leaving upfield to continental Europe :).

Unchallenged as in I don't recall any other clubs with deeper pockets trying to go after Aubameyang and outbid Arsenal.  And I absolutely think his 55M fee is a bargain for a player of his quality when you consider how inflated the market is now and what players like Lukaku, Sanchez, Coutinho, Pogba, etc went for.
