The Iron Heart Forum Triangle of Terror Type III Trucker Tour 2018 - Updates thread

@steffan - sadly, the photos don’t tell the whole story. I’ve driven by that place a few times over the last few weeks and probably every board on the exterior needs to be replaced, and since it’s been “for sale” for 495 days with no bites, something is probably seriously wrong. Homes that size with the historic Crest (flag) on that street usually sell for about 850k-1.4M depending on the size of the lot. This is a huge corner lot, so it could be worth a good deal if the right rehabbed finds it.
A client of mine is a home builder and does a lot of work on that street, so I may talk him into joining into a partnership with me
And another client who is interested in getting involved in rehab and flipping.I’m too cheap to even pay the power bill in a place that big haha, but it could be a real gem.
@madmonday - I can only imagine…

@Appfaff Yes of Course, the Back Garden and the Driveway are wrecked too but as you said that thing could be a Diamond in the rough and so maybe a good deal if someone rehabs it that has the abilitys and the man power himself.
The Real Estate Website with the Map View is really cool, seems to be an American Thing, I only know that from AirBNB.
This whole rehabbing and flipping thing is, i don´t know why, in Germany not really a thing.

A couple cold days for us here in LA (lower Alabama). For most of the world, we are wussies for not handling ice well, but we simply do not have the infrastructure to take care of salting roads, and people don’t know how to drive on ice because it only happens once every couple of years.
Anyways, I wish I had a bigger garage so my car wasn’t covered in ice…
The kids were enjoying driving in the car, so we drove to the Bay to see the sunset.
A little breakfast action:
Got some new toys for the Gym. These will be great to help expand our “rehab” clientele:
Lunch: chicken tortilla soup
Little nightcap
Hope everyone is having a safe and fun week!

my brother lives in Allen, Texas and he said the same thing when a random frost would blow through town. But then again, he also used to live at Ellsworth AFB (South Dakota) when he was in the military and they'd routinely get pounded with snow storms, so he should be able to handle icey roads in Texas.

Yeah, “I” know how to drive on snow and ice, but it’s the other people
On the roads you have to worry about.Ironically, there is a driving/racing school in Atlanta that has an ice slick for you to practice driving in… its insanely Expensive to take their courses, but I think more people should haha

Last few days after the ice storm were pretty much spent cleaning the house after the kids were home more than normal. I did manage to make it out of the house a few times and take the OD lefty with me
Some shots from classes at the gym
Cleaned the gym floors after mud had been tracked in a ton
Went out with friends last night:
Thought this looked. Little like one of our esteemed mods [emoji41]
Bonus pic of the lefty of daddy duty
Hope everyone has had a great weekend!

You must mean the handsome, intelligent one…
Couple of questions:
How does mud get tracked into the gym? Every gym I’ve ever used has been facist about outdoor footwear inside. Is this a badass Cross Fit thing?
How often do you get out with friends in the evening with the little ones in the background. I manage about once every six months... even that is a little trying.
Great update (although that goes without saying really).

^ hahaha you two are too funny
@neph93 - we have bay doors and our members routinely run 400-800m, come back inside and do weightlifting or gymnastics movements becoming hitting another round. I also have a K-9 patrol narcotics officer that brings her dog with her to the last class of the day (not too many people to get
Upset over a “dog in the gym”), so the floors do get dirty. It takes me about 90 minutes to use our “floor cleaner” zambonnie thingy, and try to do it as often as I can.As for the “going out with friends,” it’s happens maybe once every month or two. Mardi Gras ball season has started, so we will be taking advantage of our babysitter network very strongly over the next couple

Since it’s my last week with the OD Lefty, I figured I’d try and do some mass updates.
Sunday was spent grocery shopping, shopping for some new running shoes, and food prepping.
Started off with making breakfast for the week:
Bacon and egg white pop overs with spinach
Made my own version of a Texan favorite, “Ranchero Beans.” I used Connecuh sausage, which is made in a town north of us in Connecuh county Alabama, chicken broth, a little beer, and black beans:
Keeping the Texas theme alive, I also made some Chicken Flautas with roasted tomatoes, onions and bell peppers:
For dinner I made Porterhouse Cut Pork Chops with roasted potatoes, asparagus, and broccolini
yesterday after taking the kids to the Nanny, I whipped up some bulletproof coffee
And then hit the pavement to try out my new running kicks

After my run, I had some Greek yogurt and granola and black coffee
Then hit some work before brunch:
The juice drink is 1/2 coconut water and 1/2 cold pressed apple/pineapple/carrot/mango juice. The coconut water ads more hydration elements and cuts down on the total sugar in a full glass.Came home from coaching classes all
Evening and made cauliflower rice and chicken korma (sadly a bottled sauce)
My wife and I are trying to cut out soda, so I made some of these fruit cocktails. Frozen Berries and Watermelon flavored sparkling water:
This morning, opened up the gym and we had a fun workout with Medicine Ball Cleans and Rope Climbs:
Bonus pic of the lefty yesterday
Hope everyone has had a great start to your week!

When I win the lottery Adam, I'm moving next to you.
As always after your updates, I'm now hungry again.
Great update.

Thanks Bryan - actually the House next to me is currently for sale, and you could easily slide into it for relatively cheap

What kind of running shoes are those? I like the nice wide toe box.
And then hit the pavement to try out my new running kicks

Hey Joe, that are Altra Torrin 3.0
They are zero drop, really cushy and have a very wide toebox but still hug the heel. Their slogan on the box is “embrace the space” - thumbs up to the marketing intern that came
Up with that oneSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
