^^watch how you dye them. I used Dylon machine dyes (several by the way), which obviously requires to use a washing machine. Turn them inside out.
I dyed my 76 and although I’m happy with it I got crease marks on the arms because I forgot to turn it inside out

On my way to buy black textile dye. Before this incident I could have worn this jeans at work with a dress shirt. Now that is out of the question. I hope the dye will cover this mess good enough.

I like the look as well.

Yeah, it's just how the SBG fades over time. The wash just slightly accelerated it.

Anybody own an RV? I think they’re referred to as caravans in Europe. Jody and I are thinking about getting one to travel with the dogs (finding hotels that will take two rotties can be a challenge, plus I’ve read enough horror stories about dogs dying in the cargo hold of planes I won’t consider it)

Travelled around last summer in a Mercedes 2500 on the Sprinter frame.  Really great vehicle and much easier to park and get around in than a giant RV. There are lots of good companies that modify/put their own finish on these Mercedes.  The only complaint I had was that the brakes weren't beefy enough on long downhills.

I would personally prefer something on the Sprinter frame, but having the wife and the dogs are going to make it pretty tight. Also, I would be approaching the upper limit for weight with everyone plus stuff in it. I was looking at the Airstream Interstate pretty hard. Currently thinking about a Nexus RV Viper model.

Are you sure about that?  We have friends with a Sprinter, and they get two adults, four kids between ages 10 and 17, and a crap load of equipment into one and drive from Texas to Colorado at least once a year.  It's decked out with a bathroom, satellite tv/internet, a fridge, and all the other comforts of modern life.

Sth like that should easily fit two People and two Dogs (It´s a german Company but there is 100% an American Version of that thing too).

Thank you, this is really impressive. I didn't know Hymer had this layout. I think I've only seen one Hymer in person and the layout was really strange. I need to take a look at this one in person.

My main concern is we'd have to climb over the dogs.

So far, this one is my favorite (pending seeing it at a show).

This is my wife's idea of the ideal RV:

There is about a zero percent chance of me driving that motherfucker down the road (I'm already a nervous driver).

                        This was my proposed compromise

My question for anyone that has spent a lot of time living (not just commuting) in an RV would be

                        1. How important is space for a couple homebodies?
                        2. How often do you need to dump the tanks (I like the idea of boondocking vs staying at a campground)?
                        3. Are there any specific areas to look at to determine build quality?

I'm relatively ok with a limited amount of space because I spent most of my life in NYC, but I really don't like the idea of tripping over the dogs. Keep in mind, my dogs are pretty massive, and they like to sleep in the bed with us.

In a perfect world where I would go full retard: https://earthroamer.com/

My main issue with this would be that the dogs would not be able to get up to the bed to sleep with us. That and it's over half a million USD.

I've seen a couple videos of RVs like that. They're closer related to tanks than vans. People drive around the planet (including the mountains of Afghanistan) with them.

Doesn't look like the Hymer ML-T is offered in the US Catalog. I'm going to ask them if they intend to bring it stateside and if it'll be at a show. I know Hymer has a cult following in the EU, they've historically not has much distribution on my side of the pond.

I vastly prefer the cartridge toilets (in theory) over black tanks. Jody can't wrap her head around why I would prefer to dump a suitcase full of crap, but I really am not hot on the idea of firing off a tank of poop through a tube.

By the time I realised I needed a few yards of Cone Mills Natural Indigo fabric, there was nothing left in the White Oak Shop or with Pacific Blue Denim.

Do any of you know sellers (or jobbers) from whom I can get a few yards of this fabric? I am specifically looking for fabric because I don't need any denim jackets or jeans this year.

Call me paranoid, but are there any known health risks associated with synthetic indigo? I love natural indigo because I believe it is healthier and fades slower than synthetic indigo. Because if I don't get the Natural Indigo fabric, I will settle for the regular selvedge fabric from Cone Mills available at Pacific Blue.

As always, would appreciate any answer for these questions.

                                    Thanks,
