yeah. that was the article that i saw. so i was half hearted looking forward to it. however, i wonder if the 2018 model is any different from 2017. i'm happy with a second hand one so long as it has launch control. currently, the 15/16 model looks alright to me in terms of specs..

The Bike Shed in London have an ongoing project to build a Thruxton mostly using parts from the Triumph catalogue. A video was posted a couple of days ago showing its current progress.

It started off as a standard Thruxton, rather than the R. The tank has been resprayed in a silver used on the Tiger, the side panels have been modified, a sexy pair of Ohlins black shocks have been fitted, and a "Cylon" tail tidy (probably from New Rage Cycles) has been fitted.

I like the use of the blade indicators, which are intended for the Tiger. I've got something similar for my Thruxton, but I need to get a few bits and pieces to fit them, so they're waiting for me to be less broke!

There's an old project update on the Bike Shed's site, which shows an earlier incarnation, and this video is a time-lapse of some of the modifications made by a London dealership.

I like how the bike's turned out. Mine is going to get hit with some light customising in the near future. I've got the fairing and indicators, but need a tail tidy and a cabling kit to sort out the rear end.

hard to come by in a clean state or on the roads at all. my instructor is near a honda service center, so i've seen quite a few gems lately.. even a 20k rpm honda.. you know which  😉

This is my project for the winter:

When I bought it, it hadn’t been used for 3 years, but after re-doing carbs and changing spark plugs it ran great.

My target is to make quite simply ”gentlemen” brat-bike. Will add M-unit blue and do wiring as simply as possible, lower front and rear a bit, take off everything not necessary and paint it black/creme.

Not sure if I’m goong to keep it, since riding motocross for a few years riding on the streets feel bit boring…

yeah pretty much. although, i must say i really feel comfortable riding it. feels like my current model, just with more power. oh it'd put a grin on my face so wide, i wished i didn't have to give it back…  😉 😉

i think deep down inside, i know i want this one but i need an option to make myself feel better..

I'm hoping to get some advice on motorcycle rain gear from the forum. I'll be doing a 6 day bike ride in early april, which is still rainy season around here. I don't have much previous experience with this kind of gear, but I've had cheap garments fail on me previously, so I hope to make a better choice this time around.

I've read a bit about the Revit Pacific H2O rain suit (conflicting reviews); the BMW 3 rain suit (no independent reviews); a Dainese rain suit (didn't find any reviews).

I guess I gravitate towards a one-piece suit as most opinions seem to favor that option as generally more waterproof than two-piece rain gear.

I don't need a warm rain suit; only waterproof and high visibility.

                                          Thanks!

                                          The journey is the objective.

Most of the guys I ride with, and myself, all keep Frog Toggs in our saddlebags.(www.frogtoggs.com) Click on jackets than on the drop down menu on the side under lifestyles click on motorcycles. You basically pick out the jacket you want, then get a pair of road toads pants. Might be a little low tech but they keep you dry. In a really bad downpour hopefully you can pull over. Good luck.
