^Yep. I've always thought new years resolutions were garbage. If you want to make a change just start when you come to the realization a change is needed.
Really great for gym memberships though.

You want an extra level of hatred for fireworks? Try them with a special needs child who freaks out at loud noises.

I'm not sure why as a general society we revere fireworks. Seems more like cultural conditioning to me. Bit's of color going bang in the sky. Once you've seen it you've seen it. As close as general society can get to a type of war-like experience without being in war? I don't get why we settled on fireworks being a thing. It's not something that makes sense when explained….

Whilst I'm in unpops, I'll throw another one out there. Time; New Years, WTF? A made up date based on the current calendar in vogue. I'll take a day off like anyone. The amount of celebration for a man made construct for tracking the sun is just odd.
(I generally try keep out of this thread as I'm about as unpop as it gets and realize it ;))

Right, reasons that make sense to you. But that would mean yours is the only opinion that matters. That yours is the “Right” opinion.
