Missed your response earlier @Qinhan.  S&S does carry M-43's.  If they don't currently have your size I believe they can easily special order.

Yeah but those are the John Lofgren ones and not the Buzz Rickson version @Qinhan asked aout 🙂

OK IH ladies… My sis in law wants some warm/ heavy jeans... She's petite, doesn't know her size (I told her to measure her best fitting jeans), but I also don't really now where to start...

They don't have to be Iron Heart, but they also don't have to be dirtcheap... So just link me up to all you can think of...

Reminder: WARM... She's from Iran and HATES cold weather... Everything under 20C° is basically cold... So preferably anything lined with grizzly feckin bears...

alright so here goes. i've no idea what's causing these little holes in my tee shirts. i've started to notice they are becoming more apparent among quite a few. i'm inclined to say that it's (moth or silverfish?) not sure what those things are called that eat your clothes in your cupboard/drawers?

but coincidentally, they're only in the front which made me think that it could be my belt. however, i highly doubt my belt would be sharp enough to cause something like that.. so what would be the solution? also, i hate the smell of mothballs and such with that weird smell they cause in the cupboards after awhile..

My guess is critters. They only go for the things you like. A zegna suit for example..  😞

I think you're right about the belt. The buckle doesn't have to be sharp edged to cause holes.  I used to get the same thing- it was caused by leaning against counters at work.  Move the buckle to one side and see if that fixes the problem.

high chance now that you mentioned this..

ooo. you know i can't rule the embers out but i'm can't be too sure about that or when it happened..

highly unlikely it's natural wear and tear. some tops i've worn a little less than others.

either ways, any recommendation on things to put in cupboard that might steer fabric eating critters away?

I like the Japan Blue High Tapered cut, it's the only one I've found that actually has a high enough back rise, and large enough thigh for a curvy, tall woman such as myself.  Come to think of it, the Left Field Charles Atlas was pretty great, too. It sounds like she and I are built very differently, though. My objection to most women's cuts probably doesn't apply here.

Back in the day, I found that Lands' End and LL Bean both had pretty durable jeans, and the cuts weren't bad, though they were sort of "mom jeans" with a high rise and relaxed leg. Those companies both have flannel-lined and fleece-lined models she might like.

I know that's not much help, because I don't really wear women's clothes, but there ya go, @Seul.

Maybe Carhartt has something flannel lined?.. Don't have much options, no good stores around...

So I've done some searching wasn't able to find exactly what I was looking for, but I have a pair of 777XHS and will eventually need to hem them (I'm located in the US). I know railcar has a limit of 21oz for hemming services. Is anyone aware of a place that can hem 25oz denim? Most other places don't explicitly mention it, but I'm hoping someone here has already encountered and conquered this issue.

@paxmadam in addition to neph’s suggestions (I have personally used Indigo Proof and they are top notch, although not taking new orders till after the new year I believe), The Denim Surgeon in NY is also great and I can personally vouch that they work on 25oz denim.

@Billh9483 I would just reply to your confirmation email with your requested modification or message G, Alex, or Adam about your order…they will definitely take very good care of you.
