Great buy @Stuart.T I've always coveted this but the modified type III's are not for my body type. Love to see a fit pic:)
Really happy with this jacket. Wore it last night and today so I'll give it a soak this week and hopefully put some fit pics up after 1 soak. The combination of slightly longer body (doesn't ride up when I sit down/drive) and slightly shorter sleeve than some IH type III make this pretty perfect for me.]

Just bought a XXL on a trip to rivet and hide. Shoulders are a little boxy at the moment but they will drop with wear and a soak. Other than that fits like a dream. Sleeves are a good length too. Not quite as long as my 17oz natural indigo type III, which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned. All in all a beautiful jacket. Very happy.
That's what puts me off pulling the trigger. The shoulders look absolutely huge. I'm not the sort of person who wears the same jacket everyday too, simply as i own so many great jackets. so not really sure theer's much point in me buying it. Looks like it's designed to be worn everyday for a few years in order to get the full aesthetic & fit.

Soaked today for 1hr at 30 degree in bath. I'm leaving it out over night to dry. Definitely some shrinkage. I just put it on damp to stretch it where needed. I think the shoulders have calmed a bit! Chest and waist ok, I'm hoping the 'problem midriff will be ok too.

@Stuart.T I was able to shrink my size Large to a Medium with very hot water and lots of agitation, FYI.

it worked out perfectly. Wore it today and it feels great. needs to wear and soften a bit. It shrunk in all the right places. Sleeves are perfect, but the body length didn't shrink to0 much, which was great for me too! really happy.

Thanks dude. I love this combo 21oz 888s and 19oz lefty. Theyve both softened brilliantly but steel feel like im wearing something of substantial quality. I used to wear other brands but since finding IH ive just been addicted!

What sort of shrinkage have people seen in the length, sleeve and chest? As Giles suggested (0.5” all over)?
I’ve just returned a Medium 526Lod as I wasn’t completely in love with the surface finish (personal taste) but the dimensions on that were spot on if a little snug in the chest. Chatting with Alex he advised going for Medium 526L and soaking it would be the best port of call so I’m looking to see what sort of shrink you guys have gotten?

I'm between a Medium and a Large and I bought a Large 526L and shrunk it down to a Medium, but this was with strong agitation and very hot water. All of the measurements are those of a Medium size from length and chest, etc. It can be done!

Did you get much in the way of arm twist with that amount of shrink? The only ‘slight’ thing putting me off the loomstate 19oz is the fact it’s going to be able to twist the second it touches water. Not great for chaps with major OCD

Yes, there was some twist in the right arm but not the kind of twist like a pair of jeans.

I recently purchased this jacket and it's awesome. I gave it a hot soak and hope all the shrink is out. It took some time to break in, it's really heavy duty. I'm getting used to the extra length in the sleeves and in the body, kind of annoying though. The hand and inner pockets are a nice touch add add more every day utility. My previous jacket was 15 oz. Samurai S0552XX and I'm a bit surprised how much more heavy duty this is. I look forward to see the progress of this and try to wear it as much before it gets hotter in the summer.
