I'm a machinist. For me, it's a perfect balance of physical activity, while still being mentally challenged. Would like to get more into the fabrication end of my field, but for now I'm pretty satisfied

I’m a conductor/engineer for Union Pacific Railroad. It’s a decent job and can be fun at times. But it’s not very conducive to family life because of the lack of schedule and being on call 24/7 365 days a year. I’ve been fortunate enough the last few months that my seniority has given me the option to hold a scheduled swing shift yard job but that’s subject to change at any time. For most this is a lifetime career but I’m looking for a chance to get out as soon as I can. Hoping to get into real estate investments soon.
