Another option is to soak and then wash it gently (inside out of course). It worked for me very well and I got rid of my creases (but I wash every new garment prior to wearing it).

I thought about that too but I've never washed duck canvas before so I wanted put that off until I had to.  Knowing my luck I'd screw up my brand new jacket somehow

Washing the duck is no problem but do soak it thoroughly first. I tend to run the shower head over my duck gear before the washing machine. The point is the whole garment needs to be wet through.

I miss the pockets of its 2526j brother but the added length more than makes up for it

The 46 is one of my most loved pieces - in sure you will feel the same way very soon, Justin!

Thank you @Dishelveled ! Brown duck wears amazingly well with denim, I highly recommend checking out the J-46 if you haven't already..
I found it a much easier fit that the 2526J - longer in the body and with has slimmer silhouette. Missing the pockets but otherwise a superb jacket with great character!
