WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY (PICS)

But seriously, looks beautiful.

The more current the bigger the ulua, which is why where I fish in Oman, they grow to be the largest in the world, the currents and the seas are massive…..
That must make for some interesting boat trips. Do you live bait or lures? Top water fly?

The trip out to the islands we fish, the Hallaniyat Islands:
is brutal, it's a minimum of 70 minutes, but if the sea state is rough (= better fishing), it can take 2 hours. After my first trip to Oman, I started going to the gym to build up my core strength.
We fish off the shore of the islands and cast big poppers or stick baits as close to the rocks as possible.
Here is my favourire pencil bait, that is 8oz and about 8 inches long.

I'm trying so bloody hard not to make a joke about of your 8" pencil right now… Is there still lead in it?
(I failed)
Isn't that why he's showing it off?

It’s so big and purple I’m sure no fish in the the sea could resist it.
That's what she said

@Matty123 @Max Power @ROman - great photos of your trips, thanks so much - and belated happy birthday, Sam!

@giles that’s a monster. The lure and the fish!! Yeah here in HI they use a lot of stick bait also. The core strength is a great suggestion for me. I can’t handle boats like I used to and I used to be much more fit.
