    Got a question, lads…

In tag 36 these are 14.1" in the thighs, compared to 13.5" for the 888S.  But these'll probably shrink to 13.5 or 13.6 after washing.  But might stretch out again?  (the thighs will certainly come under strain as my thighs push the limits of 14" thigh jeans)

So the question is, will these stretch out more in the thigh than the S version in time?  Or will they be practically identical? Thanks

Denim will only stretch out as far as your body will stretch it.  It's not like you will stretch one pair out to a measurement significantly more than another unless your body changes significantly.

Of course… I was just hoping of a comparison of the two fabrics involved, the UHR vs the classic IH weave. If the UHR can stretch back to where it started, it'll be bigger. Unless of course the 21oz stretches just as much...

My view.  UHR harder to stretch than traditional 21oz….

So we have an image in the thread, this is what the indigo arcs will look like when the denim fades….

              Yeah thats cool.

I'm at the point with these where I know I'm going to break down and cop a pair so why not just do it now and get it over with.  Why delay the inevitable right?

My buying philosophy exactly.  The moment I start deliberating, I know that I will break down eventually, so I may just as well just get it over and done with.  I have never regretted anything I have bought, I have regretted stuff that I did not….

I have been away from the forum for awhile and had no idea that this cut now existed or that there was more UHR to be had. I saw this thread the other night and realised that these were coming out in a few hours. Best rash decision I've made this week. I'd give it longer….But I'm pretty impulsive and it generally turns out well. So excited to get these, the measurements look like a dream and I've always wanted this denim. Did it end up being bronze hardware?

@richardjohn22 the UHR also comes up slightly wider in the thigh than the 888S, more in tune with the original concept. Expect around .3" shrinkage from the UHR and not a lot of stretch in the thigh.

@Giles , your purchasing philosophy is sound in principle, but what happens when you're deliberating about $2000 of kit and you only have $500 to spend?

Forgive my confusion, but is the posted sizing chart the loomstate measurements or expected size after shrink?  I normally wear tag size 34 in other raw denim (ranging from 34-35 depending on brand), but the listed size of the 34.5, after expected shrinkage, would be too small I think.  Dont know if I should size up or not, help?

Will be shipped unwashed, MEASUREMENTS GIVEN HERE ARE PRE-SHRINK

Amount of shrinkage will depend on how hot and vigorously jeans are washed, on 40 degree C wash you can expect approximately 1" shrinkage on waist, up to 2" shrinkage on inseam. All dimensions will shrink proportionately to the waist and inseam, those that are put under pressure will have a tendency to stretch back out, those that aren’t will not.
