Anyone looking to get the new Red Wing Irish Setter 9874?
I'm not usually a big RW guy (never owned a pair actually) but the Klondike leather looks nice on the moc toe.
Might go try a pair on and see if I fall for them or not.

I’ve been after a pair of black boots for a while, I already have some moc toes but the leather on these looks bloody lovely. I’m hovering over the “buy” button as I type this.

The only pair of black boots I have are some Alden shell cordovan cap toe boots, which look really dressy.
I think these might be a good option for a more casual boot. Hoping they don't sell out immediately so I can think it over.

Does anyone have experience with the sizing of the Chukka? In particular the 3143?
I just found a slightly used pair online for a steal, but I‘m not sure about the size. Do they run smaller or bigger?
They are UK 7, usually I wear 7.5 to 8 on my trainers.

I can only speak for myself but I wear the same size in all RWs (IR, Beckman, Chukka and Moc Toe).

I wear a full size smaller in red wing then in any of my sneakers as they tend to run big. I think they would be a good size for you. (But don’t hold me to that and get angry if they don’t fit [emoji51])

I really wish they made 11.5 in the 9874’s, I haven’t tried them on yet but in other boots that run big I’m a solid 11.5, which leads me to believe the 11’s will be too small and the 12’s too big. Guess I’ll find out whenever I go try a pair on.

@David_pll  The leather is so stiff. It’s unlike my 877’s or 8143’s which where so buttery. I can’t wait to see how the black  starts to wears down to the brown underneath.

They look even better in your photos, I’ve had my 875s for 4 years now so they are super soft. Kind of excited/worried about breaking these in now!

Oh thanks @David_pll , I was assuming they didn't make them in 11.5 since I saw a few stores were out of them.
Going to try a pair tomorrow, the store near me only has 11 and 12 so we'll see how it pans out.
