I need help!!  I have the 888-NT’s on order and now I am second guessing if they are the right choice for me.

I love the 634’s and the Beetle Busters that I have, but I am trying to figure out if the 666’s would be the better cut for me.  I like the appearance of a straight leg better and I am wondering if the taper of the 888’s are too extreme for my tastes.

So I really have three questions:

1). Is the taper really noticeable?
2). Does the taper of the 888’s wear well with boots?  (I typically wear Wesco Boss, Loggers, and Cowboy Boots.)
3). Since the Beetle Busters were similar to the 634’s (but slimmer overall), would the 666’s be closer to the 634’s/Beetle Busters or are the 888’s closer?

I like the thought of the UHR denim, but don’t want to make a decision based on the denim alone.

I am really torn/confused.

I’ve been in the same boat for a while (only I’m concerned about the rise rather than taper.)  The answers probably won’t be known until people get them in their hands I’m afraid.

One thing of note is that depending on your size, Self Edge still has some 634 and 666 pairs in UHR showing as available on their site. No contest patch, stealth arcs or bronze rivets, but if it’s just the fabric you’re into those could be options.
