I think it probably could. The nice thing about doing snap for snap is we can reuse the same hole left by the existing snap. To do a work shirt we would have to make the hole, and we have not agreed as yet if we want to take that risk..

Thanks for the info.  I've got a UHF workshirt that doesn't like it's buttons and is trying to eject them.  I've already sewed several back on.  I pulled it out to wear for the season and noticed several other buttons were loose.  Before I bit the bullet and just sewed them all back on I figured I'd check on this option.

So as yet, I have not done anything permanent to Chris' shirt that he kindly volunteered. I think the below shows the issue some people mentioned. Aesthetics aside, I think it could still be sound and functional.

My gut reaction is that it's an imperfect, untidy solution, but I'm pretty sure that the reality of copper snaps on wabash plus assuming an attitude of not giving a fuck would mean that it would work.

Cheers and agreed. Its a defo improvement on the original white snaps imo
