Hell or High Water was great and Sicario s a must see. I may be late the party but these are my favorite recent movies.

I thought Sicario was excellent but thought Hell or High Water was kinda meh. It felt like it was trying to be No Country For Old Men except substitute 1 guy stealing drug money with 2 guys robbing banks. Jeff Bridges seemed like he was channeling his Deputy Cogburn character from True Grit.

Sicario was indeed a better film. i really enjoyed the locations that they filmed in for Hell' parts of this big country ill likely never see. as for Jeff Bridges i thought he killed it. i don't liken it to NCFOM.. in a good or bad way. I think West Texas was the only thing in common in the films. Plus Josh Brolins character in NCFOM was foolish, selfish and kept making stupid mistakes. Chris Pine and Ben Foster were sticking it to the man. IMO

I enjoyed it. Drax was the highlight for me as I thought he brought a lot of laughs to the story. "My turds are famously huge."  😃

Cool.  I've heard nothing but good things about it and the trailer looks bad ass.

The new Blade Runner is superb. The story is solid, acting is on point, & visuals are stunning. Highly recommended.

^ was waayyy too long for my liking. quite a few scenes just dragged well beyond their need for me. I found the sound track nodding to the original, or attempting to, but missing out the range of high notes or ephemeral-ness that made the original so good. Visually it had the same grime and sense of space, the audio was clearly trying with the moog/warbly tones, but left out all the juxtaposing tons. In addition, the jazzy/sexy part of the sound track sorely missing here also.

In short, it looked pretty, was too long, and the sound track was off. I was not impressed.

i was a little disappointed. drax was the highlight for sure. i felt like i was watching actors with an animated background. i know CGI is used in all films but this film really pushed it to another level.

Truth! Looked stunning but the story was stretched out about 40 minutes too long.
