I was thinking about participating in this this year. But I was wondering if I'd be disqualified for not washing or not having regular participation. Is this that case? @Megatron1505

I lead a very dull and uninteresting life and probably won't be any good in any of the challenges. But if only the final submissions count, I can probably enter. But if were required to wash or participate in certain aspects I might as well not bother.

Sorry if I sound cynical. But I am just bluntly articulating my apprehension to enter.

No requirement to wash @Filthy25ozJunkie , but we do need to see eco pictures from you throughout the contest. No challenges this time, just share your jeans evolving is all.

It's getting close, times are getting exciting!

So, moral/professional dilemma. I'm going to college for my bachelors in accounting.  I got a very entry level job at a bank/wealth management company in their payroll department.  Our entire building is no client contact, unless there is a client meeting.  I have no contact with clients either way.  Dress code is business  casual with jeans acceptable because of the no client contact.  Other branches that have actual banks are business professional with slacks. Everyone in my building wears jeans, both the men and women. Up to this point I've worn a shirt and tie with slacks for two reasons which I've mentioned, I like dressing up, and the whole "dress for the job you want, not the job you have"; so, do I continue to wear a tie and slacks everyday or, do I claim too busy with school to maintain, and join the crowd and go open collar and jeans to get more contest wear in.

                        Serious first world problem here.

Maybe some denim days at first, and do you have to forgoe the closed collar/necktie look just because you're wearing denim. See how that affects your perception in the office and adjust accordingly.

@Megatron1505 how often will we need to submit updates? I'm guessing monthly?

What can cause disqualification? In the event I have a blowout and need a repair which takes longer than a month, will that constitute grounds for disqualification from the challenge?

Will an official set of rules be posted as we near the beginning or at the start date? I've never entered a contest so I'm not 100% on how it all works.

                                    Thanks!!

I feel ties are too formal for denims casualness, but maybe behind a sport coat as tfahey00 has mentioned

I think this might be the best solution, and it's going to be getting cold so another layer is always good!

Super excited for the contest.  Going to get in my denim this weekend.  Ya know, amnesty wears and all.

Updates are preferred monthly, unless you have a good excuse like a blow out. I'm going to drop a ruling in about no more than 8 weeks between updates I reckon, that should be more than enough time to solve most emergencies and if it isn't then the contestant probably has more to worry about in life than a denim contest  ???
