IHSH-179 - "The Kanreki Shirt" 6oz Check Flannel Single Yoke Western Shirt - Red
-
Mine is in the dryer now. I will put together a size chart similar to the one Giles and Alex did for the XL for my XXL.
I will post pre-wash / post wash+ dry/ and Post Warm Iron sizing here in about an hour when the delicate dry is through
EDIT: just saw Giles comment about the pre-wash chart. Whoops!

Looks great @Chap!
What jacket is that? the 19oz lefty?

I know this will be pure lagniappe once the size chart for the washed 179s get posted but figured I'd share my experience nonetheless
I took measures before a wash, cold wash + low machine dry, and then after a warm iron.

I washed and machine dried, but I'm not a "measurer"… I didn't measure before or after, but I do know that it shrank some. Most notably, in the length department (Over-all length, and sleeve length).
same. except i air-dryed it on a hanger.

179 in XL washed at 50C/1000rpm and hang dried. Measurements before/after:
One thing should be noted; I'd worn it three times before I measured it and my subjective impression is that this fabric is stretchy. When I tried it on post wash it seemed to be the same in the chest as it was when I first tried it on. So definitely length to be lost but I think there's minimal to lose in the chest and shoulders, and it will come back with one wear, much like a pair of jeans.
I've said it before, but this really is a great shirt in the flesh. Lovely to wear and the colours and pattern are tasty.

Good to see that the length shrinks quite a bit after a warm wash.

^ the lightweight fabric allows for maximum mobility when it comes to pouring hot water over the top of a 4 cup chemex [emoji12]
Also, the flannel material provided adequate insulation from boiling water spills and keeps you cozy while enjoying said cup of joe.

I see.
Dont let this intel spread, I don´t wann see hipster baristas wearing Iron Heart under their aprons

@TheTrooper - the secret is safe with me. The baristas around my neck of the woods still find ironic t shirts with cat sayings on them to be "cool."

Even here in germany that has been gone for quite a while, damn. Has been replaced by super shitty finger and hand "tattoos" you know the childrens scribble style -
By the way:
Dryer worked perfectly, fits like a charm now

That's great news. It's a very forgiving material I think.

You both should swing by coffee spots near Self Edge in SF. Plenty of peeps have been purchasing IH and other brands to be decked out while I graciously get iced coffee for SE employees and myself.
it’s not all that bad yo!

I would kill just to go to SF in the near future

@deadendpro Will be in SF Friday and Saturday before heading South on Sunday. Not sure if I'll be able to make it over there to SE. Any other recommendations would be appreciated. Thanks!
