We can do that, but then you do not have a straight line of buttons through the fly to the waist button….

It's funny I always wished these overalls had the brass buttons. Because all the other hardware is brass. This would be so awesome if possible.

Just bought a black thermal so hopefully you can replace the buttons on my overalls and ship the thermal and the overalls back to me together.

It's technically possible and we do have the button parts, but I am not sure if we have had the die sets made for that button yet. @Alex I sent a lot of the dies back to the tool shop to be modified to fit the new foot presses (plus I asked for a couple more totally new die sets to be made up), so I don't think you will know for certain until they all come back….

We may have to get the die set made. We will know when all the other parts come back in a few days, if we do need to get it made it'll be another couple of weeks…..

                        Re: Watch Straps

I have a brass Maranez Talay (http://www.maranez.com/talay-o.php) that I absolutely love, but don't wear much because it's just not comfortable. I came with a thick, brown leather strap, and a hefty, black rubber strap as well. When I wear my watch, I like for it to not slide up and down my wrist, and just stay in place. It was never a problem with any of the purpose built watches I wore in the past (Field watches, during my Army time), but this seems to be different. When I tighten it to where it doesn't slide, it cuts off my circulation…. When I loosen it one notch (Probably less than a cm), it slides up and down my wrist.

Any suggestions? I was thinking a NATO strap... But, I don't know if it would make any difference.

I just measured on my watch strap…. It appears to be exactly 5mm when measured from the center of the holes.

So, it's a 5mm distance that is the difference between amputation, and dangly watch on my wrist, lol

A NATO or Zulu strap might still help.  Since they go under the case and are in continuous direct contact with your wrist, it's been my experience that they slide around less, even when they're a bit loose.

Lighter watched move around less, too, but since you're already committed on that front, that may just be something for future reference…

You might find NATOs fit better because they are considerably more pliable than leather or rubber. They don't have any springy-ness to themselves.

You might also like removing the extra keeper strap. I cut off that extra strap on almost all my NATOs. I don't care for the wobble from the extra 3-4mm of thickness.

You might also have some luck if you put the original straps in a smallish coffee mug and leaving it in the sun for a day. It'll give the straps some bend so it'll fit better around your wrists.

If you're intent on keeping the original leather strap, get it really wet, wear it on the tighter setting until it dries. That should stretch the leather enough to wear it comfortably

Kind of. I don't like the rings on a Zulu. I find it doesn't hold the extra strap tucked back underneath as tight.

I prefer the way a cut off NATO keeps everything slim and trim.

So, moral/professional dilemma. I'm going to college for my bachelors in accounting.  I got a very entry level job at a bank/wealth management company in their payroll department.  Our entire building is no client contact, unless there is a client meeting.  I have no contact with clients either way.  Dress code is business  casual with jeans acceptable because of the no client contact.  Other branches that have actual banks are business professional with slacks. Everyone in my building wears jeans, both the men and women. Up to this point I've worn a shirt and tie with slacks for two reasons which I've mentioned, I like dressing up, and the whole "dress for the job you want, not the job you have"; so, do I continue to wear a tie and slacks everyday or, do I claim too busy with school to maintain, and join the crowd and go open collar and jeans to get more contest wear in.

                                            Serious first world problem here.”

@fanya - my $0.02:  lose the tie. jeans with a dress/sport shirt tucked in. and nice casual shoes or boots.  bust ass / make your mark with the quantity/quality of work you do.

Remember, at the end of the day banks fall into the financial business category resulting in conservative practices.  So not advisable showing up like a Steven Tyler roadie… lol
