The road to Kanreki

Kanreki Red today.
I think this was the shirt I wore when I first met Giles, Paula and the rest of the crew in Stuttgart at Glemseck 101 two years ago.
I had a super nice day with them and was amazed at how nice they where to me as someone they just knew over the forum.
Back then Giles had the hobby to place his MacBook in dangerous situations, such as a desk with Paula's coffe on it and what can I say, he succeeded in getting it drowned in same coffe. He's allways so mindless with the hightech toys, isn't he @Madame Buttonfly ?
Anyways, since Glemseck I was looking forward to meet everybody again and am happy, that I finaly have the chance to at Giles's kanreki party.
Oh, and Rocket was there as well.

Nice pic and great memories @Cole - and yes, Giles is still quite clumsy and careless with his coffee, but thankfully we haven't had any more high-tech disasters recently…

How'd they do that? I thought all the images were still on PhotoBucket, just thought that links from other websites were now not possible without upgrading. You should still have access and be able to download the lot….

This was for my bday earlier this year. Theme was flannels and beards.
Birthdays are fun, but they can wreck me, at least that's what I've red.

On Tuesday I set out for the Kanreki, dressed in appropriately red attire.
This was the luggage. The big, green bag is full of gear to shift at the Kanreki. The three packing cubes are what I'll be wearing.
First stop: Guangzhou. I spent six hours waiting for a connection. There's nothing at the airport.
Traditional Chinese dining!
This healthy living shop sold spirits and chocolate. :o
After another twelve hour flight, I had another six hour layover in Paris. I decided that there were better things to do than hang around a departure lounge…
The reason I went into Paris was that I needed new socks. Mes Chaussettes Rouges are one of those little, specialist shops you here about…

Thanks @neph93 wish i could have made it out and met everyone. And by "met" i mean hangout on the outskirts drink beer, smoke cigarettes and take in the IH porn that would have been on display.
Still on my bucketlist is to visit IH Tokyo and Gosport.
