Anyone here play video games?

This is mostly why I'm excited for the Switch. It's got a 98 on Metacritic, and looks to be an epic game. The fact that they crammed this into a handheld device is really amazing.

@Filthy25ozJunkie So, i bought Sniper Elite 4 and i'm really enjoying it. I have a question which i think is more of a personal preference but how do you generally attack a level. I find i start out trying to be a sniper and try to pick off people that are in my way and sneak past others but then i mess up and then it turns into me being a one man army and taking everyone out! What's your approach?

I am used to playing Zombie Army Trilogy. So I like to upgrade the G43 and go Rambo killing everyone with the iron sights (half L2 pull).
If you're in tight corridors you can shoot the walls and floor with your machine gun. I use the one with the banana clip… and the bullets ricochet killing everyone. Use empty lung even at close range, unless you're playing the authentic difficulty.
Sometimes I will strap a bomb on a dead body and throw rocks at it luring enemies to the booby trap. Guerilla tactics works, as you can shoot one or two guys and run to cover letting them search for you. If you see a truck full of guys coming... don't be afraid to shoot the gas tank and run. You'll get 4-5 kills and it's easier to run than try to snipe 5 guys later. I've taken out every single guy in a level with the knife... like 99 stealth kills. So that works too. You have to watch out for snipers and search lights because once you're spotted it changes the level of alert.
The level with the radar dish... set booby traps on the roads around the central bunkers BEFORE you blow the dish and retreat to the bunker you set landmines around or it will be a pain in the ass.
There's a couple levels where you must use stealth or you'll blow the objective. So just buy the silenced bullet rounds and use them sparingly. @Sam glad you like the game

I can't believe how awesome this looks! Even if you don't like games you ought to check this out!

So I started a 7 day free trial of Playstation Now… I can honestly say I wouldn't want it for free for a year... What a load of lagging crap...
My Wifi signal is 2 metres away from my PS4, yet the signal is often weak, to the point where your game is ended automatically (and without a save)...
Oh, and this is my average speed... Come on, should be plenty powerful to stream a damn game...

Just started playing Player Unknown: Battlegrounds for PC (apparently there's gonna be a console version also). Its been awhile since I've felt the mild anxiety similar to climbing the ladder in other multiplayer games. Super intense and anyone that has a PC or games with one should give it a go. Different thrill altogether.

Haven't had a console for a few years, last had a 360. Looking at getting a PS4, amazon it with uncharted for $269. Good game to start with? Has anyone seen any good deals?

Ignore that, I grew impatient and ordered it.

I have an Xbox One and have never played Uncharted, but I fully support your impatient purchase!

The price went up but it was tax free, couldn't risk waiting. Should arrive tomorrow.

@Steffen Destiny 1 is the only game I have played the pants off for two years, so many levels and the PvP is great, a game in it's own right… quite high learning curve but addictive. Always good to get in at ground zero I think, games I've bought when they are cheap you are so behind the curve makes it hard… plus I'm old and takes more time to get up to speed.
So yes worth the price I'd say if you vaguely serious gamer!

Tekken 7 is now available through Steam. If anyone fancies a good scrap just lemme know.

So I recently got "Alien Isolation" for PC on a Steam sale for about $10. Well worth the spend. This is easily the scariest game I've played and great fun too. Excellent story, design, sound, music and atmosphere. Rolling Stone magazine described this game as the best sequel to the first two movies that none of the other movie directors were able to deliver and having played this game for a few days now I'm inclined to agree. If you like the Alien and Aliens movies (particularly the former), you have to play this game.
Trying to sneak past the titular beast is also hard as F**K. I scream like a schoolgirl every time it sees me hiding in a cupboard and rips the doors open to slay me mercilessly.
