Leon was good…..that's about it.
If you haven't watched La Femme Nikita you aren't qualified to make that call. Tour de force, I promise.
+1 La Femme Nikita is a great film;

I saw A Ghost Story on Monday. It's an interesting, weird little film, which features Casey Affleck under a sheet for more of its runtime.
I enjoyed it, though it's a little slow through the first act. With the references to the enormity of time in the marketing and reviews, I thought that it might have gone all Last and First Men, but it went a different way.
Here's an interview with the director David Lowery from The Guardian.

I caught A Monster Calls today. It's about a boy with a dying mother, and a monster. It's a good film, but brought up a few emotions from losing mine a couple of years ago.
The Independent has a review of Shin Godzilla, which has just opened in the UK. I saw it last year, and it's a weird take on a Kaiju movie. Worth seeing.

finally saw Alien Covenant lastnite. I was a bit disappointed with it and kinda surprised Ridley put this out. I mean, the gorey bits were cool but the plot and character development were dull. I call it the George Lucas syndrome – you basically create a film property that blows audiences away when it comes out but then over time you lose that creative vision all in the name of maintaining a firm grip on a franchise you helped create. The acting wasn't bad by any means but I didn't care for any of the characters at all. At least with Alien you could feel a genuine comradery among the crew, but with Covenant they were all expendable characters that did one stupid thing after another. Really annoying.

Director of it co-directed John Wick, so that would make sense if they're similar. He's also directing Deadpool 2, which I'm looking forward to.
Loved both John Wick movies, by the way…

Not sure in what order I want to watch all this depressing stuff…
COME AND SEE (just Google it if you haven't heard of it, this and SON OF SAUL are thé two WWII/ camp movies you have to see)
GERMAN CONCENTRATION CAMPS FACTUAL SURVEY: this is not the complete documentary made by Hitchkock and Bernstein in 1945, as it's actually called MEMORY OF THE CAMPS, which is a shorter version of the original… Of course the original was never aired, which is why I'm also downloading NIGHT WILL FALL, the documentary about SURVEY and why it never was aired...
I guess after all that madness, THE PIANIST will feel like relieve...

Night will fall is some pretty hefty stuff. I've seen it a year or two ago and the horrors shown burned into my brain.
And I say that as a german who was bombarded with WWII and Holocaust material in school.
It still eludes me how there can be people who claim all of this never happened or wasn't that bad.
It is definitely worth watching, but be prepared to be really depressed afterwards.

^And that"s answered my question whether I should check JOHN WICK 2… Absolutely love the first'un...
John Wick 2 is excellent. They've really added a lot to the whole mafia org and it works very well. I like it better than JW1.
I liked both John Wick movies but felt as though JW2 wasn't any different than the first one, so if you were to put them back to back it's like you're watching the same film.
