Just got back from Jester King, what else is new.
Jester King 2017 Omniscience & Proselytism. Much better than last year's batch IMO, very smooth.
Jester King Saison Américaine. Really impressed by this one, nice balance of acidity.
Jester King Cherry Funk Metal. This blew me away, I already have a bottle but figured I would try it on tap and save the bottle for later. The cherries taste very fresh and tart while adding some complexity to the original Funk Metal. Didn't expect this to be so good!

This is not an Oerbier special reserva, but it's tasty

While BrewDog have long since sold their soul to Corporate Hell, their yearly Abstrakt concept beers have retained the same quality and innovation that made the company frikkin awesome 10 years ago. This years effort suggests that even that last bastion of quality has fallen. Blackcurrant Liquorice Stout at 12ABV sounds like a boss idea, but in reality its thin, unbalanced and certainly not worth the money. I bought two bottles so the 2nd will cellar for at least a year. Hopefully it'll repair their reputation…

Anybody here into sour beer otherwise known as gose?
My favorite specimen is Goo Goo Muck, brewed by Seventh Son Brewing Co. in Columbus, Ohio. It's available in July, looks like I will be going there soon!
I lived in Ohio and studied at Ohio State, so I'm liking this gose right now…it's not exceptional, but in their 12-pack montage, I really enjoy it
