The funniest sign I saw a panhandler carrying was one that said, "why lie? I need beer money."  😃

Fun little experiment… As you know Paypal ALWAYS fucks you over when you wanna convert money...

Here goes... I wanna send 300$ to a mate (personal payment)...

                Paypal says: 300$ = 251,59€

So 251.59€ should be 300$, right?..

                Paypal says: 251.59€ = 278.43$ (!!!)

In fact, if I send in €, and want him to receive 300$ net, I'd have to send 271.08€...

                Same with £...

                Paypal says: 300$ = 220,13£

But if I pay in £:

                Paypal says: 220.13£ = 278.23$

In fact, I'd have to pay 237.36£ for him to receive 300$ net.

                  PayPal is the worst.

So I work at a small business, we get a lot of people who stop by and pitch their products for us to potentially carry. Yesterday this dude comes in, turns out he's the owner of this new company out of Dallas trying to expand. Well I chat with him for a bit and he starts to tell me about his product. Then he says: "you know, this stuff would fly off the shelves at [Competitor Store], but I already went over there and for whatever reason  they weren't interested. So I just figured I would stop by."  ???
Like you really think that sales pitch is going to make me want to sell your product?
Told my bosses about it later and it made for a funny story at least.  😃

Actual $300 are €261 atm. What you get displayed in PP are the currency buying and selling rates @Seul. Virtual any bank like operating company works like this. They charge a fee for the buy and/or selling transfer.

But it's ridiculous... Even if I want to pay in £, they automatically converse it, fucking the seller over... And if I want the seller to net 230£, there's a 30€ difference...

might be cheaper to pay in a currency you have funds available in your account Seul. Sent it over fam & friends and your happy seller transfer the amount later in the wanted target currency to his bank account. Should be less than 3%, I believe…

There was a time when I had PayPal balances in dollars, euros, and yen, for exactly this sort of crap. Didn't like PayPal tying up my money like that, though.

Then someone has to break their window.

And then, anything worth doing is worth overdoing…

He came back to his car just as someone was trying to break into it to help his poor Labrador and went nuts at the guy, dogs are a love of mine and idiots are not…..he won't be doing it again.
